Christmas is coming...

Post your favorite XMas songs!

Chicago - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Live) - Featuring the soulful delivery of the great Bill Champlin - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrzCRqiMbb4

The Ventures - Sleigh Ride - An all-time classic. I remember my dad always putting this song on while we opened presents when I was a kid. I remember being amazed at the clean, snappy sound the guy had on his guitar - when I was little I just had a shitty humbucker guitar and a practice amp with really bad distortion! That classic 60s vibrato is great too, haha - hhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPsjRStcKcM

Steve Lukather - Joy to the World (featured on MRCD 6, so buy it!) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKLpANQ9NF0 - Classic Luke

Beach Boys - Little Saint Nick - Another Christmas day classic I remember my dad playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSynDh_K0EE

Moody Blues - December Snow - A little melancholy, but a GREAT tune (and great album) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6dJO1JWdSI

Tom Petty & The HB - Christmas All Over Again - A classic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL9AjrqspB0

Phil Keaggy w/ London Festival Orchestra - The First Noel - Can't find this anywhere on YT - great tune though, wanted to give it a nod. An EXTREMELY underrated guitar player.

Lincoln Brewster - Christmas Sarajevo (2008) - Yeah we've all heard the TSO version a million times. Here's another underrated guitar player and SP FTLOSM alumnus Lincoln Brewster shredding on it. What a guitar sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6zQYyGQ0wI

Brenda Lee - "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"

(check out this video - someone made a Sims Christmas vid - kinda cute!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_GVOePLQiA

I love this one from Home Alone 2 -

Darlene Love & the E Street Band (yeah, that E Street Band  )- "All Alone On Christmas"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2mQXQjY130

And for fun - this one NEVER gets old: "A Very Perry Christmas"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY8yPJVogUs

"She's just a small town girl, pa rum pa pum pum..."

When Family Guy parodies it, yeah - you got yourself some DSB syndrome.

I swear, I laughed through 1/2 the TSO show because they play it twice and all I could think the whole time was "Ding fries are done ding fries are done..."

Oh it's a hell of a song. I've just heard it so much. TSO has a lot of great tunes, it's a shame they don't get recognized for some of the other ones too.

Canon Rock - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45wmyMgyZuY

An Angel Returned - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO39wNBFfpM (might be better quality ones there) - That lead guitar break would make Neal smile!

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Here's my new favorite Christmas song after it was played here last year...

Richard Page (Mr Mister)- "I Always Cry At Christmas". Very sad, yet awesome song.

My favorite VJ was JJ Jackson. He died of a heart attack a few years ago. He was working for The Wave, a jazz station here in L.A.
