Live KISS Concert To Stream On Facebook
From: KISSonline.com
Posted: November 19, 2009

Bud Light Golden Wheat presents the legendary rockers KISS on Facebook via a Ustream streaming link live from their show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at 9 pm PST on Wednesday, November 25. This is the first-ever live web concert for one of rock's most iconic bands as KISS celebrates the November 19 release of their new, three-track Guitar Hero pack featuring Modern Day Delilah, I Was Made for Loving You and Lick It Up.

Users can watch and interact by visiting the official KISS Facebook page at facebook.com/KISS or on Ustream at www.ustream.tv/channel/kiss-live to connect with other KISS fans for a personal chat and live video experience in real-time during the show.

KISS chose Ustream (www.ustream.tv),the leading live video platform on the web, because of its powerful platform and scalability in reaching a global audience of unlimited size. The band wanted to connect with their legion of fans that might not have had the chance to catch them during the North American leg of their 35th-anniversary KISS/Alive 35 tour, a 44-city tour that continues through December 15.

The iconic band recently made KISStory when Sonic Boom, their first album in 11 years, debuted in the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200. This was the highest-ever album debut for the legendary band. Frontman Paul Stanley produced the new album that marks a return to their signature 70s sound.

In creating Sonic Boom, the band also wanted to give back by putting together a value-added release that offers three CDs for the price of one. The release includes Sonic Boom, their centerpiece of new material including their single Modern Day Delilah, a second disk of re-mastered KISS classics such as Rock and Roll All Nite and Detroit Rock City, and a third, live disk from their show in Argentina earlier this year.

Does KISS have the Latino/Spanish market sewn up or what? Half of the comments are in Spanish in the shoutbox/twitter thingy.

I know they did a Festival in Rio with something like 300,000 fans back in 1983. I think Iron Maiden was there also.

Larry, I only watched the first 30 minutes, but I kinda agree with you. I think Paul sounds really raspy and hoarse on the new album as well. It's not BAD, per se (kinda cool in spots) but I'm wondering if the old pipes are finally starting to give on him.
And why do they always play "LET ME GO R AND R" so early in their sets now? That's an encore tune if ever there was one.

I never got Kiss. Loved Ozzy, but skipped Kiss when they opened for Aerosmith. Gene Simmons is a nasty old coot.

Paul got stronger and stronger throughout the show. That rasp you speak of has been around since 2000....And it always got better as the show went on.

KISS played to a crowd of somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 in Rio during the Creatures tour. The show
was only KISS and a local opening band. It was not a Rock In Rio show, which Maiden has played at. Maiden opened for
Queen during their first RIR show.

Walmart is the only place you can purchase their new cd "Sonic Boom".

It's evident you really have nothing good to say about the band.

KISS didn't open for Aerosmith, Saliva did. It was a KISS/Aerosmith co-headlining tour.

BTW, you skipped the wrong band. Your lose.

I saw them in CT and MA and both shows were great. I watched the L.A. show last night and they were very tight. I hope
KISS releases the L.A. show as a bonus disc on the "Live in Cobo" dvd set which is supposed to be released sometime
next summer.

KISS did not have time to do an interview with those djs. They were heading for
their meet and greet with their fans which happens about 45 minutes before show time.

Maybe a reference to Bruce Kulick. BK was there backstage as a guest of the band. See http://www.kulick.net for details.
