Sentimental choices for me:

Hall and Oates

Tia Carrerre (She won last year but I would still like to see her get another award)

Michael J. Fox

AC-DC (over a half dozen nominations but they've never won)

Working on a Dream sucks. That was the worst song off the album and not in his top 100 IMHO. He'll likely win though, because he is liked by the writers and voters. Wish it could have been a more deserving song, but I guess the Super Bowl gave him so much exposure and that song was the "new" one, so........

Surprised Daughty isn't in there. And just what the fuck has Neil Young put out worth a shit?

I'm glad to see The Fray, Michael Buble and Death Cab for Cutie nominated. Too much Gaga and Black Eyed Peas, though.

 Even if it's not his most amazing, top 100 of songs, Working on a Dream is simple, likeable & relatable...I'm just glad to have some artists to root for this year because the last couple years have really sucked. Go Bruce!! :)

Yeah Deano, for my dinero, THE WRESTLER is the best tune on that album. I love the boss, but I think WOAD was a pretty piss poor offering.

I agree, perfect song for the movie, just like Streets of Philadelphia was - didn't much care for Secret Garden for Jerry Maguire though. But I still can't understand why people wouldn't like Working on a Dream as a song? :?

Oh, I don't like Working on a Dream. Vocals are very half-hearted, weak sounding. It's on purpose, but the song is already average and that didn't help.

But The Wrestler, wow. It just framed that movie.

And Streets of Philadelphia is just perfection as a song. Haunting in that movie. That song, to me, is a masterpiece.

I personally think Kingdom of Days should be song of the year. Bruce missed the boat with that one. Should have pushed that song as a single. I also dig the fuck outta Outlaw Pete. It's an 8 minute operetta. Andrew was never more wrong in his review of WOAD. Outlaw Pete rocks like no other- a great story.

Kingdom of Days is the best song from the album. Outlaw Pete is great too. Surprise, Surprise and Lucky Day are up and down for me - a bit too poppy sometimes for me. Queen of the Supermarket is quite haunting... love that intro

LOL at your signature pic.

I want to see just how good Bruce is at current event songwriting. Write a song about the implosion of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the impending doom and gloom of its' fans. Man, hide the kitchen knives and scissors. It's over in Steel Town.

Maybe he can do The Streets of Pittsburgh?

I love Secret Garden, especially in the movie. That's back when Tom Cruise was beyond hot and not whacko -- or we didn't know he was whacko, at least. And I always remember Bruce Springsteen was so sexy in this video. This video was a win/win with both of them in it. :D
