Killer holiday shopping deals!!!

Though I'll never be as handsome, smart or talented as Don Dokken, at least I pride myself on being slightly cheaper than Don, and that's dang sure nothing to sneeze at. I've been making out like a bandit in the stores, keeping in mind that many chains price match against each other. They also offer their own specials on top of that, so if you do a little research you can get some killer deals. Example...

Wal-Mart's new release Blu Ray discs are MUCH cheaper than Best Buy, but Best Buy is offering a $10 gift card with purchases (not sure of the exact terms) + some of their discs have $5 coupons that you can use if you purchase 2 together. I go to Best Buy last night and they are selling Inglorious Basterds on sale for $22.99 ($17.96 at Wal-Mart), Public Enemies and District 9 for $29.99 each ($19.96 each at WM). I got them to price match them all, then got a $10 gift card and the $5 off coupon for buying the first 2 together. Walked out with $82.96 in Blu-Ray new releases for $40.88 (about $13.63 each).

Also finally broke down and shelled out for Band of Brothers on Blu-Ray a few nights ago at $75+, then the next day Best Buy advertised $50 on ALL HBO series. I still had my receipt with me and they credited me $40+

If anyone else has run into any killer deals in the stores, let me know. What kind of loot are you people raking in? :)

It's all about employee discounts. All of us at work direct our co-workers to stores where we have connections. My son works at BestBuy, one lady's niece at JC Penney, one girl's cousin at Macy's and so on. Everything's done with cash so no over-extended credit worries.
