Fucker looks healthy as a horse. Honestly, for his family's sake, I hope he's just being the shady fucker he's always been. I wish the dude the best.

According to the university, Meyer was treated for dehydration but Meyer has lived with an arachnoid cyst in his brain for many years. The cyst was first discovered when Meyer was head coach at Utah, but Meyer has suffered from symptoms such as head aches and fatigue since his days as an assistant coach at Notre Dame.

doesn't he lose like 2/3 of his team too?

That thought crossed my mind, too. But I think he would have lined his pockets with all of Notre Dame's money if $$$ was his motivation. Where else could he go that is better and has a vacant coaching position? Unless, of course, his plan is to "retire" and then start a bidding war in a year or two.

The thought of having a team without Tim Tebow probably gives him a stomach ache. That's his health problem...

Yeah, but in the end, they had no undefeated teams. They won 2 popularity contests (national Championships). The first one I could see, but Utah was clearly a much better team last year.

Meyer has been to the hospital multiple times since suffering chest pains after the SEC title game, a Florida source told ESPN. He has been diagnosed with a heart valve muscle defect, the source said.

The problem is not life threatening, a Florida source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. The same source said Meyer will remain in Gainesville in a non-coaching role to be defined later.

That certainly could be his motivation but if it is, then college coaching isn't the right gig for him, as it's the nature of the beast. Like I told the resident Florida fan on this board when he posted within the past couple of weeks that Meyer said he was staying at the University of Florida as long as they would have them...NEVER believe ANYTHING these fuckers say. EVERY single one of these guys is completely full of shit, and Meyer is no different. I'm certain that why he's re-evaluating his priorities (or whatever his excuse is), he will ultimately be on the prowl for a much bigger job and a much bigger payday!

Kudos to Meyer for setting is priorities straight. He's thinking of his family and that's more important than any game, title or paycheck.

If this is about trying to hold onto potential recruits, the appearance that Meyer's is waffling seems to be the worse thing he could do to win over parents.

I still say he is resigning... after the game though this time. Dont know what he was thinking last week...is his illness that serious... but then all the sudden not that serious??? but maybe he thought his team needed motivated to come to play this week?? Maybe the team needed to sell tickets... hmmmm. Lots of ifs here... and whys... at 45 and burnt out, is that it? the last 2 years felt like 9, says a lot...want to hear what gator says here. if he thinks Urban is taking a break or quitting... the reality here is this... HEALTH is the most important here, besides family... 45 and health issues, when he looks fit... Is scary indeed... get better coach.

Forgive me for not chiming in here earlier but this has been a really hard issue to understand. Ive gone thru many emotions-saturday night was the "Fuck you Urban" emotion, then sunday before the return announcement I had understanding. Then the whole "leave of absense" thing comes up, now Im just fucking lost. I really want to believe its completely honest about his health but Im having a hard time with this. What I do know is this: hes out, may never return, we still have no defensive coordinator, we have an interim head coach whos never done that before and completely called a shabby ass game this year, recruiting is crumbling and we still dont know if Urbans problems are life threatening. I spoke with some alumni friends and the word is a lot of concern right now....whats up and like Lights said earlier is there more to this story??? Im really strating to think there may be. Anyway Im awaiting a response back from Jeremey Foley, the AD from an email I, along with other alumni sent, and I DAMN sure dont want the same old typed out story! Someone better start telling me something.
The main issue I have is if he resigned for family and health saturday then why did he change his mind to taking a leave of absense without speaking to his family first??? They didnt find out until they were boarding the plane to New Orleans. The whole thing smells of shit.

I hope you get the answers you are looking for Gator. The media reports what they want to report-they twist the story to make the most impact, there's probably more to the story than is being told.

DAN MCCARNEY would be an awesome head coach for the Gators... he just isnt from Flordia and I think recruiting would be tough for him... but his knowledge of the game came from Hayden Fry... so you know he is a winner... the people here loved him, his players would love him as head coach if they like him already!! When he had talent at ISU he knew how to use them... I can imagine what the Sugar Bowl what team will show up.
