Not bad at all for a secondary-market year. Nearly 7,000 fans per night, a total of just over 300,000 tickets sold. Not bad at all.

Thanks for posting.

Def Leppard at #37, better than I thought they'd do.

It makes sense. What doesn't make sense is how that lame assed Britney is where she is. Again proof that shit sells.

$20.5 Million Gross for 48 shows. Not bad work if ya can get it.

Yup. I think if Journey did an exclusive USA tour with 65-70 gigs they would have been much further up the list, but as it stands many dates were played outside the US.

Def Leppard, Motley Crew, AC/DC, Creed, Moody Blues and quite a few other rock acts were in the 40 to 50 show range. They all seem to have had the same reservations about the economy.

A big difference here is that AC/DC was playing venues like Staples while a lot of the other groups were on the State Fair circuit.

And a fucking third for Uncle Sam

Nah, it wouldn't be quite that bad since all the road expenses are tax deductible and they can park the rest in AP's non profit for awhile.

They ain't putting shit into his nonprofit. Even though they don't have to put Journey's name out there publicly, I'm pretty sure they do have to disclose what the money will be used for. Imagine seeing that sum on the Foundations site. people would running their mouths about it just like everything else.
