PLEASE put these top three forums back together! I've talked to so many people over the last few months that say they HATE the new format. A lot of people have quit posting here, and I think it's because of the change with the entire set-up. I know that some people will bitch and moan if you put it back the way it was, but just look at the amount of posters you had versus how many you have now.

I'm not trying to point fingers, and I honestly think your website is going to do much better with everything as it was. I think if you take a poll, most would want it to go back as it was... just saying. Now get your ass in here Captain Wombat and save the day! :D

Not picking a fight, nor do I want to jump off a bridge, but how difficult is it to click on the different forums?

More difficult than many are willing.

And what would the name of the forum be? Journey? Then we're back to having the same people complaining because their threads are getting derailed or we talk too much about off topic stuff.
Combine all the lower forms, I don't care, just leave this as the off-topic please.

Exactly. I don't see a problem. Perry thread has died but they touch upon their Perry porn sometimes and maybeeeeeeee Perry will be releasing a CD and it will liven up.

I like the OT separate and there's tons of OT.

It's off season. Journey isn't doing anything. Perry isn't doing anything.

I've been keeping track. There are between 3 to 4 times the number of off topic posts per every one post in the Journey/Perry forums combined.

exactly. i really don't see the problem. when it was the Journey forum, it was hardly ever about Journey. and who are all these "many people"? and why aren't they saying anything? bottom line, it's so totally not a big deal that it's set up this way and it seems to have been running ok. if people are going to refuse to post JUST because of a couple of message board forums... then wow. i wish that was the biggest problem i could find in my life.

If anything I'd like to see Andrew drop the Journey forum a notch...seeing how the Styx forum has become more interesting reading, I'd like that to be in the #2 slot!!!! :P

Then these folks (none of which have complained to me) may continue to find themselves disappointed in life.

I much prefer having the OT kept separate, but like the idea of combining the Journey/Steve Perry forums. Having the members in different forums seems to have resulted in fewer threads with a lot less ah, lively banter, but Deano and a few regulars don't post as much anymore and it isn't quite as entertaining without their personalities. Perhaps once Journey, Steve, or Neal release something new, people will come back and we'll see if this has just been a lull.

Just to throw my opinion into the mix. I love the OT forum. I'm not a Journey fan at all anymore but I do enjoy reading and interacting with some of the people from the Journey forum. So this OT forum is great for me.

Agree with RWF. Journey's actions over the past 5-6 years have reduced their credibility and genre significance to rubble. Out in the real world, people raise an eyebrow and go 'they're still around?'...and when pressed with more details (especially the youtube discovery of a replacement singer) the same people usually burst into laughter.

However, saying all of that, these forums NEEDED an off-topic forum for years and years. It's been a blessing, from my pointed perspective...and I hope Andrew never gets rid of it. However, Andrew, feel free to reunite the Perry forum with the Journey one. Nothing was more entertaining than watching the Arneliots/race-baiters squirm and tantrum when the loons carted out Perry's achievment list. It's better than going to the movies or watching Boston sports fans slit their wrists!
