The Haiti Telethon

Postby fredinator » Sat Jan 23, 2010 1:59 pm

I was amazed by some of the singing and educated re some of the people who sang like:

Justin Timberlake and the other young man--the performance of Hallelujah was outstanding--I didn't know he could sing like that.
Beyonce--her performance was just beautiful.
Loved John Legend.
Loved the Rihanna(sp), Jay-Z, and U2 performance.
Kid Rock, Cheryl Crow and Keith Urban, dang.

Who'd have thunk? I thought the whole thing was very well done; the last pic of the child holding onto the fireman was incredibly sweet and poignant.

So far all were very touching performances...I'm halfway through the telethon right now and didn't get to the performances you mentioned but it's all very emotionally charged and sad :( but also inspirational

Wow, what A+ performances - what a shame it takes a tragedy to produce this heartfelt entertainment.

Double dang on that one, loved it. Missed the others you mentioned, I'm sure they'll show up on YouTube.

Its a shame that they didnt use this event for the planned re-recording of "We are the world". Instead theyre doing it in February ,,,,
