I want you to help me make this thread all about
Michael Jackson. I've been extremely excited about the new "This Is It" dvd coming out tomorrow, and thought it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to him. Please keep the negativity out of this... I just want you to post your favorite video clips, song clips, stories, etc...
I'll start with a cool video of the prisoners dancing to "
History":

Here's another favorite of mine... "
Man In The Mirror" from his last tour:

What are your favorites?

Ballads: Man In The MIrror, Heal The World, She's Out of my Life,
Rockers: Black or White, Beat It, The Way You Make Me Feel, Billie Jean , Smooth Criminal (wow, almost forgot this one)
Overrated: Bad (not that good), Thriller (good tune but legend inflated by its namesake huge selling album + legendary music vid)

I love the song too, but every time I hear about it I remember Michael saying in an interview years ago that he cried every time he tried to sing it.

I'm not trying to laugh at him about it though, because I think it was because of his sensitivity that we got all of those years of great music.

DAMN... I don't think I've heard "Blame It On The Boogie" since I was a kid!

I forgot all about that song. I see I'm going to have to go on a shopping trip this weekend.

I can't speak for everyone but the two videos I posted were not lip-synced performances.
(Just wanted to get that out of the way)

I pretty much love all of his material, from Billie Jean, to Thriller, to Dirty Diana, to Black or White, to You Are Not Alone, to Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, to Scream, to Man in the Mirror, to This Is It. Love everything M.J.

Most likely an offshoot of this Thriller routine:

Was keeping an eye on the original stars, that MJ dude and that tranny GF, but they seemed nowhere in the This Is It footage...probably pardoned or something by then

On a side note (3:37)...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeX-8Sa0 ... r_embedded
The jail warden actually took his cue from a scene in "The Shawshank Redemption" where a prison riot was nipped in the bud when an Italian aria was played over the public address system for all the inmates to hear.
Just when he took the reins of office and a rumble was imminent, he got his hands on Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" and, well, the rest was history.
The movie:
