The months-long search for Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, who went missing outside an Oct. 17 rock concert in Charlottesville, appeared to have ended Tuesday when her remains were discovered on a farm several miles southwest of where she was last seen alive.

I have THREE daughters and I can hardly think about it. Makes me sick.

Her poor parents. I'm sure they held out hope.

Sad to hear, but I'm glad there's closure to this for them...

When they catch the killer they should tape him right next to a 4-amp stack and have Hetfield, one of the baddest riffers of all time, just crunch metal riffs until his ears bleed.

I'd say just use his head for a Lars bass kick, or shove drumsticks up his ass sideways and gag him slowly with bass strings.

Wow, I didn't realize this was national news. Living somewhat near Charlottesville this has been big news here. Very sad indeed. Sounds like the folks from Metallica have been in touch with Morgan's family, which is very nice to hear. May God comfort her grieving family.

My wife and I went to see the Gap Band, Kool and the Gang, and Parliament about ten years ago at a small venue in South Carolina which was poorly lit and had no police presence whatsoever.

Long story short - she went to the restroom (in this case a port-a-john) alone...I thought the better of it and followed about twenty yards behind her. Five men surrounded her, and to this day she swears had I not come up and put my arm around her that she believes they meant to harm her.

Women just should NOT go anywhere alone. Too dangerous.
