Justin Mentell

Actor Justin Mentell, who appeared on the hit US TV show Boston Legal, has been killed in a car accident, police have confirmed.

The Iowa County Sheriff's Department said the star had not been wearing a seatbelt and was killed when his car hit two trees on an embankment.

Mentell played lawyer Garrett Wells in Boston Legal, a spin-off of the show The Practice, in 2005 and 2006.

The 27-year-old actor also appeared in the 2009 Disney movie G-Force.

I have all of Boston Legal, and I don't remember him on there??? 27, so young, that's too bad. :(

Our friends lost their 18 year old daughter the same way this past summer.. no seatbelt, went out of control, down a small hill, went through a chain link fence and hit a tree that was so small it snapped in half. She most likely would have survived if she had worn her seatbelt. So sad:( I'm hoping that experience will keep my kids buckled up once they start driving.

Mine too :cry: Its hard to watch people go through pain the way they have. It just makes no sense sometimes.

I'm not a parent, but I've gotta imagine burying your kid is the absolute worst tragedy you can endure as a human being.
