Six days without electric is going to be a nightmare. I hope you have an alternative for heat.
Yeah, the alternative is called "Holiday Inn".

Hopefully MOST people have fireplaces at least!
I grew up in Erie, north of you guys, and in the snow belt we got slammed all the time, all winter, and they still do because I get to read about it on facebook now all winter long
But when you're talking blizzards, this reminds me of the winters I grew up with in the 70's! The blizzards then were unreal. I was a kid, so my reference was "higher than my swingset" deep

Those are the only kind where you are actually "snowed in" and can't go anywhere, because normally Erie never shuts down. It takes a lot of snow for that to happen. They'd never have work or snow for 8 months a year snow kept them down
I do remember an occassional one in the 80's too, and driving home from work when one started once praying that the person's tracks in front of me I was following actually weren't going to lead me off the road into a tree

Those pics bring back memories though! And that's exactly where I will keep them! Stay safe everyone dealing with it!
