It's time for everyone to admit

Postby Journey/Survivor » Sun Feb 07, 2010 7:07 pm

That LeBron James is the #1 greatest player in the NBA!

You would have to go back to Michael Jordan in his prime to find an NBA player that was as dominant as LeBron James is.

Those of you who are not from the Cleveland area are most likely not aware of how many historical things LeBron is doing now. Virtually every day LeBron becomes only the second player in NBA history along with Jordan to do (fill in the blank) _________. Or the only player besides Oscar Robertson to do __________. Or the only player besides Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to do___________

Even the national media is starting to admit that LeBron is better than Kobe, and that LeBron has a good chance of eventually surpassing Jordan as the greatest player in NBA history.

IMO, KoBE should be in the talks of one of the greatest ever when all said and done. It's sad he had to follow Jordan's generation, because Jordan is the messiah of basketball, but Bryant, hands down dominated the NBA ranks and could be mentioned as the best ever underneath Jordan, Magic, and Bird. I don't think LeBron will even be able to hold a power torched flame compared to KoBe. You look at Bryant and he single handily makes every single player around him better and you can't say the same with LeBron because James has been a one man wrecking crew during the coarse of his career.

Yeah, Bryant played with Shaq but he also dominated without him and won a championship. LeBron is a choker and Cleveland will realize he's too big of a showboat to carry a team to a title. Also, Bryant has been dominating the entire league 13 years, to LeBron's lousy 6. Talk to me when James hits at least 10 years. KoBe not only wipes the floor with LeBron but he also gives a nice wax job and repeat.

You must not see very many Cavs games? Every commentator comments on how much better LeBron makes all of his teammates. Kobe is the ball hog. Kobe is mostly just a scorer, whereas LeBron does it all, scoring, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks shots, etc. LeBron is light-years ahead of where Kobe was at age 25, despite the fact that Kobe was also in the NBA at the age of 18.

It's funny how LeBron/Cavs haters always try to say that LeBron is not the best player in the NBA, and then they try to claim that all the Cavs are is LeBron James and that without him they'd be nothing. Either the Cavs are a damn good team even without LeBron, or else LeBron clearly has to be the best player in the NBA to give the Cavs the best record in the NBA last season and again so far this season.

Really? He needs to win a title before he can be considered "the best". Sorry.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

A few quick quotes....

Bill Fitch (Larry Bird's first NBA coach) "I have him [LeBron James] right up there with Michael, Magic, Bird, and Kobe, the best of all time." "Wade is a great player, he's in the same class as Isiah Thomas and Andrew Toney. Were talking a certain Hall Of Famer, a guy who can score a lot of points. But he's not LeBron."

Mike Fratello "Then you add in LeBron's high Basketball I.Q, There are great talents in the NBA, but the great players also think the game the right way. They are like Peyton Manning. You can put the ball in their hands and have great faith in them to win the game."

Pat Williams (Vice President of the Orlando Magic) I have been watching NBA since 1955, LeBron James is the greatest physical athlete the league has ever seen. I saw Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, Jordan, Magic and Bird. I even saw George Mikan. I was Doc J's General Manager in Philadelphia. None have the combination of size, speed and strength like LeBron."

Bill Fitch "Look at what he's (LeBron) doing now by running down guys from behind and blocking their shots, it's one of the most intimidating plays I've seen. He's a great shot blocker, only you never see him coming."

Pat Williams "He is on top of the mountain. But LeBron is only 25, and in his seventh season. Michael hadn't won anything at 25, and his first title wasn't until his seventh year. Time is on LeBron's side."

Charles Barkley (who for the record has always hated the Cavs) "LeBron James is the best player in the whole world to me and anyone who knows anything about basketball. Kobe Bryant has a lot more help. Even without Mo Williams and Delonte West, the Cavaliers keep rolling because of one guy. LeBron is that good. If you gave him Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, they'd be 72-10." (which would tie the all time best single season record in NBA history)

Pat Williams "You have to look 10 to 15 years down the road, But I really believe when it's over for LeBron, he will have a place on the NBA's Mount Rushmore. You can argue about who else will be up there with him, but I see LeBron up there."

That's just my opinion, I don't care what a "commentator" has to say. You're right, I don't watch much basketball, but the football offseason is a bore and yes, I watch basketball in agony at times and judging by what I've seen, and comparing KoBE and LeBron as impact players of what I've seen and given the history of both players, LeBron is nothing but snot on a tissue to KoBe. Like I said, give LeBron atleast 7 more years in the league and maybe we'd talk. I can really care less either way though. 8)

i quit watching right around 1993 or so.larry bird was my favorite of all time.he retired then magic got the virus and retired.michael jordan first retired around this same time period.then you had that next generation which consisted of kobe, iverson, garnett, etc. seemed like the game changed around that time.the me generation of basketball players.then you had sprewell who choked his coach.never thought i'd see the day players attacked their own coach.

Exactly. Once you've seen a thug throw a basketball, you've seen it a thousand times. Every game is a fucking rerun of the last one.

I can't stop refreshing all of my basketball sports sites non-stop hoping to see this Amare Stoudamire deal go through. LeBron and Amare on the wings together is just downright fucking scary. Please make it happen, please....
