That's a great price! I wonder how late the bar is open... It says it's a sports bar, so I'm guessing bar hours.

It sounds like they would shuttle us back and forth from the venue? Because it's within 5 miles? Too bad they don't go until midnight though!

Seems the MRF block is only available for King Leisure rooms only. Wonder if a Double Queen room can be booked with the discount code?

They would , but more than likely, group shuttling like that usually has to be scheduled in advance, so there would have to be set times they'd drop off and pick up.
(sorry - don't mean to come off know-it-all-y... but this is literally my job....lol!! Group rooms for social blocks like this are what I do) 10:30 seems like an odd cutoff time though.

FYI- If you have an Entertainment book card, you can get all of the rooms available for a little bit cheaper rate. Tried my AAA card = a little bit more, tried Entertainment = a little less + more room options (1 King is all that came up for me under MRF, also).

Good luck & see everyone there! :D

No it's okay! I appreciate your info on everything :) I remember where we stayed near San Francisco had a shuttle and I remember that we had to go to the desk and they had to call the shuttle guy and we had to wait and then the same going back. And if they are busy, I'm sure it could take a while. A good option for drinkers though. Although 10:30 is a little early and an odd time for sure!

Again, not to come off all know-it-all-like, but the online booking tool for IHG (Holidy Inn and the others under the same parent company) with group rates is not the greatest setup. If it isn't displaying the proper rate or room types (this happens a lot, I deal with it every day, as I work for an affiliated hotel, therefore - same exact online setup), you'll have to do it by phone.

It isn't the hotel that's the problem. It's the online booking (see above post). I promise you, I deal with this constantly with my social groups. It's a pain in the ass. I've been yelled at more times than I can count over this online booking business, so I don't even promote the online booking for groups. anymore. The same thing would happen with any other hotel in the IHG family.

Just do your reservations by phone. I'm serious.

If you insist on doing them online, guys, I have one tip - Enter your dates, and the MRF code and nothing else. Don't try to select room type. Hit "Check Availability" at the bottom and see what it offers you.

I do it with my 3rd kid too. It's a 4 person world, and yes I realize it's for fire code, but it's just so expensive for a family of 5 if you need 2 rooms!!

I would if I could, B, I swear. Dude, I can't even get my employee rate at this HI because the rate is locked out - I figure it's because of the MRF block - LOL... (they lock out our rates when large groups are in house or they're sold out) I'm gonna try and call but I think they're gonna tell me to go fuck off. I can also wait until the 4/8 cutoff and see if my rate opens back up... I might also look into the Hampton - I think I can pull one of two strings I have with Hilton. I LOVE my job!!

The room rate goes up if you have 4 in a double, yes. You're right, most people don't tell them in order to keep the rate down, but be careful of that - if they see you reserved for 1, and they need the double rooms , they will move you to a single and you don't get to complain... they'll tell you "You reserved it for one person, you didn't tell us 3, so sorry..."

Yeah, I always figure they might do that, or they might take the queen room away and give me a king, so I always book 2 people no matter what. Since 2 is always the standard rate. Guess it's good I figured that!! I was never sure, but I just thought it could happen!
