Beach Boys were here last night....and Bruce Johnston gets ahold of me on a Beach Boy message board and offers me tix...passes...the whole shot...calls me when he gets here...calls me as I am in line to pick up the backstage deals...comes out and GETS us...then treats us like royalty backstage...how many guys do that? Shit I'm just Joe Fan too.....nothing special about me (you all know that right?)

Calls me today as they are getting ready to fly to Oahu and asks if we had fun...wow...and yes we did...pretty damn cool...

Even had Uncle Jessie (John Stamos) playing with the band last night....the guy is good...can sing a little...play drums and some guitar...has all the moves down and he was looking to be having a blast....

Never heard of Bruce Johnston? He took over when Brian melted down in 65 and has pretty much been on board since...he also wrote I Write The Songs...probably could've retired on that alone...

okay I am done...Mahalo for letting me gush.....:)

Great story man. They play EVERYTHING it seems.

Who sings Carl Wilson's songs, particularly God Only Knows? I can't imagine anyone but him on that one.

they all trade off....Bruce muscles thru God Only Knows....he told me hates doing it cuz Carl OWNS that song...Mike's son Christian does a few and he is pretty damn good.....does a great Good Vibrations...bass player Randall Kirsch is pretty much the falsetto guy...Scott Totten is the lead guitarist and musical director and he has these guys sounding like the records...which is great...Bruce calls seeing the BB's a "jukebox" show...it is what it is I know....wish Jardine would play with them...but...if you wanna go back in time and listen to these classic tunes....you can't go wrong seeing the Mike and Bruce Beach Boys.

MG...this is the song Stamos solos on...Forever...written by Dennis Wilson...he truly has a blast playing with these guys...
