It was to get the Russians out who were supplying(selling) Saddam all kinds of war materials. Read the Associated Press article from July 2007 when the U S moved 212 metric tons of YELLOWCAKE from south of Bagdad to Canada where it IS be used for peaceful purposes, mainly in their reactors. We knew it was there from the 1st Gulf war & watched that it never moved. Secondarily, Oil trading for weapons help was Russia's priority. I remember watching 55 semi's leaving for Syria as we entered from the south. Their contents were buried in Syria in the Becca Valley.Yes, Russia took it to their puppet regime . You can bet Israel knows they are still there. Secondly, Saddam had killed so many the tyrant belonged with Napolean, Hitler,Stalin etc. rotting in hell . I know I left out others.

I don't understand the difference between the first and third options.

Well option 1 is not really a choice. See, Iraq, no matter how much Dick Cheney wants you to believe, was never ever connected to terror v the United States.

Option 3 is the audible the Bush Administration called, when things turned sour in Iraq, they went from "eradicating terrorism" to "recovering WMD's" to "fighting them over there" into "transforming to Democracy." Basically, they made up shit as they went along. Brilliant Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. Boy those guys are smart eh? You aren't going to bring democracy to the Middle East genius's. So basically, option 2 is the right answer. There really isn't another answer. Too easy.

Easy: Choice two without having to look at the others.
