iTunes sells 10 billionth track

Any wonder why Neal has been talking about iTunes lately?

Johnny Cash's Guess Things Happen That Way has become the 10 billionth track to be sold at the ITunes online store.

Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling was officially named the site's most downloaded track, with their single Boom Boom Pow the third biggest seller.

Lady Gaga's Poker Face took the number two slot, with hits Just Dance and Bad Romance also featuring in the top 25.

Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Georgia bought the 10 billionth track winning a$10,000 iTunes gift card.

Flo Rida, Katy Perry and Rihanna are all credited with two tracks apiece in the chart, with British artists Coldplay and Leona Lewis featuring in the top 10.

All 25 songs were released in the past five years, with the exception of the Journey's Don't Stop Believin', which has gained popularity after featuring in the hit TV show Glee.

actually is pretty amazing if you think about it... and if you remember that in 1981, it wasnt even a top 10 hit single...

Which is why bands like Journey and their genre of music don't do better these days. The musical taste of the masses has gone down the toilet. I can't believe the asbolute pure shit that becomes popular and sells. Fucking kids today! :evil:

I heard it twice today on the radio. It is hard to believe that it is still getting that much airplay!

MY PARENTS SAID THAT TO ME in 1975-1977 when 14-16... with Black Sabbath, Led Zepplind and the who blaring on my turntable... kids today dont understand great music... you know glenn miller Frank Sinatra... Judy Garland... just saying tastes
change... times change...

I somehow knew someone would be along to post something like this. It's funny, when I was a kid my parents were always telling me to turn my music down. When my kids were growing up they were telling me to turn my music down also. :shock:

If they disqualify all the $1 charges made to iTunes by credit card thieves testing out a stolen card, I wonder how many that leaves?
