Hey Eric, didn't know you had knowledge of hockey. That's cool. Are you in the MR Fantasy league? Just wondering.
What you say is true regarding those turds, but Russia was loaded especially ups front. That just shows you how good Canada really is.
No..I am in a AHL city (Rochester Americans) and have season tix for them. Those 2 turds loafed around here for us for part of a season in the late 90's. Don't have enough knowledge of the NHL to play fantasy because I don't pay attention enough anymore.
Russia had a lot of talent and I know the guys on the NHL Network on Sirius even picked them as favorites, I just think depth wise they had some marginal NHL'ers and even some KHL'ers, which I don't think is as good of a league as some people think. Euro hockey is what is.
Best thing about the Olympics so far is the lack of BS marginal penalties that we see in the AHL and NHL these days under Bettman. Lots more flow. I realize its better hockey, but still I've seen some instances where a penalty would have been called here.
Worst thing is maybe the no fighting, which led to that chippy crap at the end of the game last night. I would rather have seen Danny Boyle been able to drop mitts rather than slew-footing that puke. I know many people disagree though.
