Hope this is as good as Phoenix... I really couldn't believe how good they sounded after Wetton had heart surgery and everything.

Phoenix really exceeded my expectations. I could tell they put some quality time into the material -- definitely one of their best albums.

Thanks for catching that glaring omission. Wetton sounded awesome during the Phoenix tour, too. In Louisiana, we were the only fans who got into sound-check and it was super cool watching each of them coming in and setting up their gear, then testing it and running thru a few songs. Wetton checked with "Voice of America" solo with an accoustic guitar, and his voice just filled that empty room man. They sound SO much better in person than any of concert videos that don't seem to capture that big reverb.

Anyway, I'm also one of the few lucky people to have been personally snubbed by John Wetton, and that was probably the greatest day of my life, with the birth of my child following a close second.

I haven't seen them live yet... my dad and I had tickets but ironically enough he had heart surgery just after Wetton was on the mend and he wasn't ready to go stand for 3 hours at House of Blues yet. Hoping I catch them this time around.

I guess. Look, I am not going to come in here and piss on ASIA because there are folks here who like them. But I can't think of any songs since Heat of the Moment where this band has been remotely relevant. Am I wrong?

Terrible cover..... And Phoenix was BORING! Still rated it ok as Asia fans would have been happy, but zzzzzz for me.

Should have this new album next week to check out.

Thanks. I've listened to some of the clips on YouTube of Phoenix. Tremendous harmony. I think I will get it. I don't have any of their music.

I love this song: Parallel Worlds

One of my favorite songs right now. I've been playing the Wetton Downes album for the last couple of weeks and LOVE this song. Lyrics and harmonies are haunting and very powerfull. I had some serious goosebumps the first time I heard this one. :D

I am so looking forward to the releasing of this album. Wetton and Downes are on a roll writting songs too, I loved all three Icon albums, I listen to them quite often. I hope to catch them in concert again, I love watching Carl Palmer pound away, for his age he is still really good.

I saw them live a few years ago, right when they got back together. They definitely exceeded my expectations. Of course, 65% of the crowd was just waiting for the two mega hits, but that's fine. The best part may have been their meet and greet after the show. They set up a table in the middle of the venue and this huge line snaked around.

Those 65% of people are the ones who should sit in 65% of the seats furthest away from the stage. :)
