Did anybody here attend this show? Know of any other footage out there? Or know who else was in the lineup? It looks like a few dvds were cut from the show. One show I wish I would have seen LIVE...........

Personally, I would have liked to have made the 2001 show myself...
Urban Tale, Terry Brock (quite possibly the show of the weekend--there's a recording to prove it), Jorn, Dare, Mitch Malloy, Bob Catley, House of Shakira, and the quickly-organized Journey tribute to make up for the last-minute John Wetton cancellation

....or the 2000 show with the Two Fires supergroup (Kevin Chalfant, John Ramos, Jim Peterik, Kelly Keagy, and company). That set was apparently one for the ages.

Thanks a bunch, don't know how I missed MR's review and pics, very cool! Bob Catley was at the 2002 one also. On the audio boot I have of Eric's set, he and Jeff join Eric for one of the songs.

Did Catley just do backing vox, I presume? Tremendous singer (and apparently VERY influenced by Perry at some point in his career), good laid-back friendly non-"rock star" guy by all fan reports, by far one of the most...um..interesting stage presences ever, and for someone who apparently smokes a lot, he's done a very good job at keeping his voice.

It was the debut of the JSS Band as we knew it....I actually stood next to Eric Martin watching the show for a while. He just looked at me (as he was going on after Jeff) and say...." Man, I'm fucked!"

Classic! He was awesome though...

I just love that there is a mutual respect of talent between the two......have seen/heard it from both first hand. Yep, just bumps my faves that much higher on Deb's pedestal.

it would be interesting to hear, as I obviously missed it at the time. Catley's pretty distinctive if the mixing is right and you know what to listen for.

I'll agree with you on Overland, but I like Brock and Wharton (though I'll admit Darren Wharton isn't a great live singer, but very good on records). All nice subtle singers who don't resort to random vocal acrobatics to sing a song.

yes, though I think Vaughn is singing above his range, which shows live. Been a Kelly Hansen fan since hearing his work on Stuart Smith's album (which has a bunch of talented singers...Hansen, JLT, Genn Hughes, Richie Sambora, etc).

Not sure if it is his voice just isn't very powerful or if the music is too loud over his vocals. I checked a couple others from this on youtube and sounds like he has a good voice but not a very powerful one, maybe it is just the mix though.
