Damn... I say hello to you all and look at what it turns into! Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone. I will be pretty absent from here for quite a while right now, because I'm going to be investing most of my free time to getting this album finished.

Just a quick update on the progress... All of the drums are finished and sound freaking amazing! Alex has finished all of the distorted rhythm guitars on the first 7 or 8 songs, and I just started re-recording the keys over the last two days. I've spent most of that time learning this new software and getting used to my new Imac. It's a BITCH!!!

I've spent several hours on "Melinda", and I can tell you this... It'll rock MUCH more than the original demo. It's now much more guitar oriented, and we've changed it up a LOT from what you've heard. There isn't any piano now until the 1st verse starts, and it ROCKS!!!

Once I redo all of the keys, Ruben will start on the new bass lines next week. We're spending a LOT more time on this than I anticipated, but it is going to be well worth it in the end. We're pushing Alex's date to May to come here to mix the album now. We have a ton of work to do here, and not much time to do it. It's going to be interesting but I think you guys are going to LOVE the final outcome.

I can say this much... after what I'm hearing on this 1st song, those demos are really starting to sound like ASS!!! I'll keep you posted. Now let's keep the hate out of this thread please...

You guys are doing great and should be commended for keeping with it and working so hard to try to make the best CD you can. I'm sure all your hard work will be rewarded. I'm really looking forward to hearing the final product!
