The Fourth Kind

Postby S2M » Wed Mar 24, 2010 2:24 am

Watched this movie and it scared the mitochondria out of me.....

And since I believe in Alternative Life Forms, this seemed plausible to me...

Anyone else see this movie?

Turned it off, i was so bored with the 1st 40 minutes. I watched the ending the next day and it got better but the beginning is so slow and that split screen stuff was annoying. :x

Have not seen it. I see that Elias Koteas is in it though... I'm a fan of that. May rent.

there's some new, scary, heebeegeebee tv show starting, I think, Wednesday I saw advertised. I don't know much about it, but it looked interesting and unique for TV, not the same ol same ol.

Take drunk Indians, bad cops, mix in viral marketing consisting of planted newspaper articles with fake websites and you get the Fourth Kind.

Hmm, it's sitting on my coffee table from Netflix. I was going to watch it tonight. My daughter, who's a big horror movie fan liked it. She also liked Paranormal Activity a lot. PA was "okay" but I don't get why it scared the crap outta so many people.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

It's funny because nothing scares me but watching PA I felt they did a GREAT job of creating that eerie feeling.

Watched 4th Kind last night.
Got way drowsy in the first 45 minutes...
The chick in the movie was bloody annoying. Every line was whispered or whined. Drove me nuts. had to actually turn the subtitle on.

It was "okay" but not really scary at all and kind of just aimless and screechy.

Glad I didn't pay to see it in a theatre.

It was more well-done than the Blair Witch, that's for sure. It was well-done at times, to be certain. But in the end, these so-called realistic documentary-style horror movies just leave me hollow... I mean, it's fantasy land, I want to see some kind of monster or spirit at some point, even if it's kinda cheesy.

I wouldn't say it's good per se, but it's very short and worth a $1 Red Box rental at least...
