REO SPEEDWAGON FORCED TO RESCHEDULE TWO SHOWS THIS WEEKEND DUE TO ILLNESS
Los Angeles, CA...March 25, 2010 - Due to doctor's orders, REO Speedwagon is forced to, regretfully, reschedule two shows this weekend as a result of a severe flu REO guitarist Dave Amato is experiencing. The March 26th show at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, IL and the March 27th show at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, IL will be rescheduled; announcement of the new dates to come shortly.

"Dave is one of the true rock warriors and, if he could, he would absolutely be on stage this weekend," said lead singer Kevin Cronin. "As much as we hate to postpone these concerts, we have to respect doctor's orders. The truth is that we know both of these shows would be packed with some of our most loyal fans; and we would not be able to do our best for you guys under these conditions."

All tickets for the shows this weekend will be honored for the rescheduled dates. If ticket holders can no longer attend these newly rescheduled dates, they can contact the box offices at 815-726-6600 in Joliet, or 847-263-6300 in Waukegan, or Ticketmaster Customer Service at 800-653-8000.

I haven't been sick like this in 6 years... same type of flu/rotavirus whatever then, too. Usually I just get the cold or sinus infection stuff. I'm over the bad stuff now, just run down and not particularly hungry... yet. Hoping for tomorrow!

Haha - I thought I had food poisoning at first... so Sunday night was the worst/initial pukefest. Then I rested a lot Monday. Tuesday after work and class I wasn't feelin too, too bad, so I tried to work out WORST IDEA EVER

I'm a closet fan, but you won't hear or see me go on record stating it. I screamed down Cronin at the Yakima County Fairgrounds back in 1993. I was pretty lubricated, and after two songs, Kevin goes into political speaker mode...and he stays there...I was yelling at him to "play the fucking song!" and people starting cheering me on..I mean lots of fans were completely cheering for me. So I think KC got the hint, they went into Time for me to Fly(I'll never forget that), and kept it going pretty good. This was the Earth, a Small Man, his Dog and a Chicken tour, which I actually liked the record because it had some mature lyrics on it. So after Love is a Rock, KC goes into speaker mode yet again. Now mind you, I'm 6'3" and louder than a broken chainsaw. I have had at least a 12pak of brews and of course I have one in each fist....So people start looking over at me. I am about 5 rows from the stage- so people keep looking at me, and as Cronin is going on and on about his new blond hair, I scream at the top of my lungs, Roll With the Changes!!! With that, the crowd went nuts, and started chanting, Do It, Do It Do It!!! Cronin looks over at me and shrugs his shoulders at me as if to say "too bad, fuck you" and he turns around...then all of a sudden, the band goes right into Roll with the Changes! People were loving me right about now! I had this one guy come over and started requesting songs for me to yell out at Cronin! Long story short, I ended up meeting REO that night, and apologized to Kevin, but I could hardly muster any words, I was so hoarse. He hated me dude, because I totally stole his thunder. To this day, I can sound exactly like Cronin..In fact I can sing Take it on the Run better than he can...don't believe me, ask JSS.

I've never had a flu shot and I'm not going to start getting them. I rarely get sick, except, maybe once every 5 years. Some peeps catch everything that comes along. And call in sick?! Flu shots are for pussies.
