I ain't going anywhere. I'll keep fighting.

So will I. You had your eight years and managed to fuck things up pretty good. In fact we're still cleaning up after you assholes. Care to refute that? Never mind, I won't read a cut and paste article from Fox News anyway.

Better yet, did you ever stop to think that maybe the couple did some things during the year in order to get themselves a nice refund? Did they maybe buy a house with money saved, and get the $8,000 dollar tax credit? I don't know nor do I care. It's none of my business, and it is one of your business either. And you talk about the Democrats stripping all your rights away, yet you are the one digging up other people's tax returns. You are a pretty fucked up guy FF.

When I filed this year, I got some sort of "Make Work Pay" credit. But it wasn't that big. I guess it pays more not to work.

The America I grew up in..when we paid in $475 to much in taxes we got $475 back Not $5,317!

How the fuck did this happen?

You're right. I am still trying to figure out how Haliburton got 20 Billion dollars with a B for a year's service in Iraq that they didn't provide. :?

Fact Finder wrote:Yes, I said they got the house credit...a fucking $8000 dollar tax gift...also got the $800 Making work Pay Credit..the $1000 Child Tax Credit and last but not least the Earned Income Credit of $3300...that's a fucking nice little gift from the rich to the poor..if you ask me.
I wish someone would say "Thanks".

2 of these credits are part of the Stimulus package; the Earned Income Credit was adopted under a Republican Administration, Richard Nixon. As big a crook as Nixon was, he did do some good things for our country.

P.S. You too are eligible for these credits if you meet the criteria.

I'm with FF on this...this is fubar.

I got a better one for you.

My son's mother owns a house, has two vehicles, every electronic luxury known to man. Oh, did I mention she doesn't work?

Has two children from two men. Collects child support from both....to the tune of $1500/month. Won't let either father claim their child at tax time. Gets her 76 year old mother to claim the kids...

Also, she owes over 80,000 in school loans. And they just got wiped clean because she claimed she is clinically depressed and got some sort of disability.

WTF?

Aren't you one of those people FF, who didnt' think we should be sending money to haiti?? One of the ones who says we have enough of our "own" here who need taken care of? Why are we sending money out? So now you are judging when the government IS helping out it's own? Saying you want a thanks?

These people have an income. You don't know the circumstances of their life, yet you will judge that this happens. I say at least they have an income and are TRYING to earn.

Or take her to reservation land. I was recently told by a guy in a very similar situation that jail time is one year, regardless of crime. He said "yeah, I could do a year to get rid of her..." A joke of course, but not too many people would blame the guy.

Not quite, I owe a bunch because of unemployment last year (I know nothing about taxes or finances and so I didn't ever mark the "withold federal tax" box on my claim forms)
