A forgotten album, High 2004 from the Alternative Pop/New Wave/Ambient band Blue Nile, who had the great albums in the mid to late '80s, A Walk Across the Rooftops and Hats, which, I guess, are forgotten, too. But only people who love this kind of music would like High or the first two.

From their debut album, A Walk Across the Rooftops - Tinseltown in the Rain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSIZNncu7H0

song from an album I love by them from their second album, Hats - Downtown lights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GVMnDjFKHw

but they just disappeared, had put an album that didn't work, and I forgot about them. And then in 2004 they came out with High, and I love it and nobody really knows about it unless they follow this kind of music and them:

High - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUZ75Ia1uJI

^^^^^^^^^^^

That is one of the gayest/lamest/worst album covers, too. Couldn't they have done better?

For such a technical artist, Yngwie's album covers, album production, and overall cheese factor have been fucking appalling throughout his career

Usually the prog/virtuoso types have really cool art concepts and what not for albums.

He DID have few good cover arts. Trilogy , Eclipse and the Rising Force debut album are the ones I personally like.

And the TBF cover , as cheesy as it is , it does match the title. :)

If they don't post here, they don't count! You can't be a Winger fan and expect your pals to understand! It's a life choice my friend, and one that you'll have to walk alone until you show up in Chicago.

Yngwie's definitely put out some melodic gold, mixed in with lots of repetitive self-indulgent fretshreddery. Trilogy was my first YJM album but the tunes were just cold -- no soul. Some of my favorites are a few tunes off of Seventh Sign and Eclipse, and Odyssey was also a great album to me.

Yngwie also outshines Neal Schon on the "O Face" every time. It's more like a Gerber Baby variation.
