Superman Tonight -- need your opinion

I started listening to this song, "Superman Tonight," in repetition tonight (very relatable for me lyrically, but that's a totally different story). Anyway, I play in a bar band and I was wondering out of curiosity of any here thinks the song would stand a chance of going over (assuming I could convince the band to play it -- they didn't want to play "We Weren't Born To Follow").
