I like freddy but i'm more of a jason/michael fan myself. I'm only seeing this one because thomas dekker is in it, he played john connor in the sarah connor chronicles (he also played picard's son in star trek generations   )

Watched the RoboCop the other day....BRILLIANT movie. Other than the special effects and updated "future technologies" there is seriously no need to remake this movie.

I like the idea that w're going to get a little more back story on Freddy for NOES. It will take some adjustment to not having Robert Englund, but over the course of the series he became a damn comedian so I am grateful for this shot to put NOES back on track. I can't wait to see this!

This film WAS a lot better then i expected. I really didn't care for freddy's new face it took off some of his edge imo. Kinda mad that my guy thomas dekker got killed  Overall it was an awesome film and i'll probably rent it when the dvd comes out. Also don't be surprised if there is a sequel.

my dad took me and my sister to see the original movie back in 1984 and on a school night at that.i was ten years old at the time.i spent that whole night scared to death to go to sleep and pretty much what seemed like a whole year where i kept real close eye on the closet door at night.i just knew that evil fucker was gonna come slashing through the door.that one and children of the corn gave me nightmares for a long time.the eighties were the golden age of good scary movies.

Screw the reviews jim go see it, it is pretty awesome. Besides i didn't go into this one expecting a whole lot, i was going in expecting it to be like the friday the 13th/halloween remakes but it wasn't. In fact this one was 10 times better then both. Sure it's not the original but it was well worth the ten bucks i paid the other two films not so much.

Don't listen to any critic reviews. They are critics for a reason and talk out of their assholes because it's their job to hate. Numerous fans LOVED it and it's getting great feedback.. deserved IMO. My audience even clapped at the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The suspense scenes were through the ROOF. Not ONE moment does the movie EVER flatline. On the edge of my seat the whole time and I jumped everytime Freddy was on screen. Big jumpers.

I think they did a great job with the entire re-boot. Hardcore fans just need to push that shit out of their mind of 1984 and enjoy this for what it is. Halloween and Halloween 2 I marked as 5 and 3.2/10. Friday the 13th a 6/10, but this Nightmare was the best done out of ALL the re-boots thus far. 9/10 for me, been a long time since I jumped. Excellent story as well, and it goes more into Freddy as a human being, rather than a demon.

JEH's Krueger is an absolute piece of shit who will strop at no cost and is as gruesome, disturbed and evil as ever. No jokes, no wise cracks, no fucking around. He is there to slice you apart and have this sick and twisted joy going about doing it. A true terror that Krueger was intended to be and the REAL Freddy we haven't seen since 1984 and if even more dark and twisted. Like I said, the best re-make of them all and I'm glad we have a Krueger that stops at no costs to gut you out.

My audience clapped as well YoungJRNY. I still don't know why there were so many young kids at this one. Bad parenting imo. I'm also surprised there was no sex/nudity at all, unlike the friday the 13th remake

Yeah, or Rob Zombies despicable dialogue in the Halloween re-makes. They kept it clean as far as "adult" was concerned. No nudity and no sex. They focused more on the story of Freddy being a murderous psycho who kills you in your dreams. They also had a chance to be disturbing with the pedophile background as well but kept it clean. Major kudos to the director and screen writers, as well as Platinum Dunes in deciding to give us a respectful horror film that doesn't have that disturbing aurora around it when it comes to that stuff.
