My Friday: Dinner with ex-coworker. Brother's bday dinner at Olive Garden, (maybe); see a band in Northbeach area
Weekend: Family - See mom, go to brother's place for BBQ. My time - write, write, write, relax, repeat. And gym.

I'm stuck working night shift this entire weekend. At least I will be the only one working I'm gonna get hyped up on coffee, and listen anything and everything BUT REO Speedwagon.

Wish I was enjoying my Saturday! I'm sitting here at a "minute Clinic". It should be called the fucking 2 HOUR Clinic!!! I'm sitting here covered head to toe with a rash, and the kid next to me is looking at me like I'm the Frankenstein monster! I'm having an allergic reaction to something, but I don't know what. To top it off, I feel swelling in my throat making it harder to swallow. I hope this shit doesn't get much worse!

You need immediate attention. Tell them your throat is swelling.

Holy shit dude. I hope they get you some relief soon. You may need to keep some benedryl on hand for whatever it is that's triggering your allergies. Make some noise there if you start having trouble breathing.

G.I. Jim- they need to triage you now with you feeling like that.

And for severe allergic reactions like anaphylaxis, Benadryl is NOT the primary drug of choice, that's just an antihistamine and is only used in adjunct with a severe allergic reaction, along with steroids. For someone prone to an anaphylactic reaction, epinephrine is THE primary drug of choice first, and that person should carry an Epi-pen, because in anaphylaxis, Benadryl alone isn't and WON'T be good enough.
