Postby artist4perry » Mon Apr 12, 2010 5:21 am

My husband and I were driving to Jonesboro and on the Convocation center marque their was an ad for a band named Skillet, .......we both laughed. We were coming up with different funny band names, BJG came to mind here, and between my husband Dan and I we thought of a great one for Deano.............

Captain Sharts and the Skid Marks............... And their catch phrase could be ..........

Is there a little Captain in you?

One of my co-workers is a huge Skillet fan. I think they are a Christian rock band, but I'm pretty unfamiliar with their music.

I've always thought "Old Whiskey" would be a great name for a band.

We just laughed because I mean what did they do? Get up the next morning and say the first thing they saw was going to be the name of the band? LOL! I don't know who they are myself, I just found the name to be commical. And then we thought of Deano and his Sharting stories...........infamous in nature. He always keeps me laughing..........

I was in a band once upon a time, one of our songs was called "Skillet Time" it was all about the enjoyments of skillets compared to barbaques. No idea how we came up with the concept, it was a catchy tune. We even had a Skillet dance made up for the song, "Skillet to the East, Skillet to the West, Skillet to the Skillet you know best." This was back in high school days. That song along with others you can hear and laugh are on www.myspace.com/massbandforhire
