Has Mary J Blige jumped the shark? It was recently announced that Mary J Blige has decided to cover the iconic Led Zeppelin classic "Stairway To Heaven" & "Whole Lotta Love" on the european release of her new album. Stairway includes Travis Barker on drums, Orianthi & Seve Vai on guitar and Randy (American Idol) Jackson on bass.

Mary J. Blige has never been anywhere near a shark, much less being able to jump one.

I actually like her, and I think for the type of music she normally performs, she's a great performer. But this is a train wreck. As the old saying goes stick to what you know.

I'd rate those songs pretty much the same as the originals ... horrible.

Family Affair by MJB is the only song of hers that I like.

I can see not liking "Whole Lotta Love" but hating "Stairway to Heaven"? Are you kidding me? Even as overplayed as it is, it's still a great tune.
