Friday/Saturday - organizing myself and doing laundry, and getting all kinds of stuff like that out of my way before MRF fun starts next week.

Putting in about 8 to 10 hours overtime today. Tomorrow, sister is coming in to town so fiance & I are taking her and my parents out to dinner. Sunday probably looking at model homes because we want to buy a new house. I'm holding out for the one with the 4-car garage. :twisted: :lol:

Will be loading up my kayak on the ol' jeep^ and going to a reservoir about 50 miles from me that I haven't been to yet, tomorrow, maybe do some paddling somewhere else Sunday, too. :) Along the way I'll be on the lookout for some TX wildflowers and any scenic spot to photograph to maybe use as a reference to paint or draw. Hopefully I'll run across a big field of Bluebonnets somewhere, if there are still some in bloom. Enjoy your weekend, y'all! :)

you're full of crap. YES we need sun for vitamin D. No we do not need to tan. I live in Florida and my incidental sun I receive is plenty. From what I've read 15 min a day or so is plenty of sun. They never tell you to "tan" yourself when you are getting your sunlight. The incidence of skin cancer in Florida is pretty big. Plus I don't want to look 70 when I'm 50 ;) you're still young, so I'll give you a pass on this one. But you will regret it someday when those wrinkles kick in. Oh, but on a guy they are distinguished I bet :roll: :lol:

Everything I just wrote is fact. You don't know what you're talking about that. If you use more than sun factor 8 ->, then you won't get any vitamin D at all. I'm sure you know a lot about doing the dishes and doing your nails, but the stuff I just stated is a fact. I'll explain it to you in detail if you think you'd understand. I got the same skin as my father, so I'm gonna look even better the older I get. :wink:

Individuals with limited sun exposure need to include good sources of vitamin D in their diet or take a supplement.

UV radiation is a carcinogen responsible for most of the estimated 1.5 million skin cancers and the 8,000 deaths due to metastatic melanoma that occur annually in the United States [36]. Lifetime cumulative UV damage to skin is also largely responsible for some age-associated dryness and other cosmetic changes. exposure to synthesize it, you do NOT however have to TAN to
do that.

Tan skin= COOKED skin. Fact.

Tanning is basically sun exposure, but done in a controlled manner. Come on, use your common sense. You got to get sun exposure to get your fix of vitamin D. Sun exposure = tanning.

No, tanning is not basic sun exposure and there is question as to whether 30 min without sunscreen could increase your skin cancer risks. So it's better to get the minimum than to go for that "healthy but I'll look like I have leather for skin when Im 50" look.

You grew up in a country that has sunlight probably 1% of the year. We laugh at people like you who come to disney world looking like ghosts who have red paint streaked on them from their lack of realization their skin can't handle the florida sun WITHOUT sunscreen. You can ALWAYS point out the Europeans, and no not just from their funny clothes and shoes :wink: :lol: I have lived 20 years in the sunshine state. I think my vitamin D will be just fine minus the skin cancer risk and old lady skin :P

Having family in France, and LIVING in the arctic are two different things. Bodies adjust and the darkest of people can become pale there. I wasn't born yesterday ya know. And I am half Italian, so I have a natural bronze that gets darker in the sun WITH sunscreen. 50 SPF too. Since I've lived here I really don't get pale. My whole point with this was that you HAVE to limit your exposure without sunscreen. Facts are on my side with that. You are talking about a completely different thing when you are concerned with bronzing your body and keeping it that way. And I BET the jury is still out on your dad and his skin. Is your dad even old enough to see the damage yet? :lol: I see those leather skinned lizard people at the beach. The ones who are 60 and look 80. NO THANKS!!!!!!!
