My heart goes out to all in Tennessee who have been affected by the flooding...especially those who have lost loved ones.

I've traveled through TN many times and spent time in Memphis, Nashville,... Gatlinburg and Chattanooga many times.
Quite a music legacy in that state...Nashville has really been affected by the flooding.

Yep, thats country....Bluegrass even, I would say. I have a country section of family...ha!...like a cousin who has a band and sings a lot of country..I've heard him sing Rocky Top many times, but not as country as that vid.

I took a cross country RV trip once and on the return trip I stopped for the night at the KOA thats right across the street from Graceland. It wasn't planned but we decided to stay the next day and toured Graceland, the plane, everything. I then decided to take a different route back to Atlanta and stopped to see Elvis's childhood home in Tupelo, MS. The small two room house and the chapel next door that fans built sure didn't take long to see but it was interesting.

Tremendous talent. One of the very best male voices ever recorded, without a doubt.

I know this is pathetic, but one of the stations I have programmed into my XM radio is the Elvis station. It's broadcast from Graceland.

Nothing pathetic about that at all. There is no shame in listening to one of the best singing voices ever. Listening to Elvis sing a gospel tune, for instance, is a thing of beauty. Besides...you like what you like in music. Who cares what anyone else thinks...if you enjoy listening to him sing thats all that matters. For anyone to knock Elvis's singing would be sheer ignorance and lack of musicality on their part, anyway.

I agree it is NEVER pathetic at all. His voice was given to him by our father.Blueskies, you are so right love all his music & his gospel was amazing. As much as i love Perry & Gowan & i do.Elvis was the man i feel blessed as i got to see Elvis live.He was a hunk of burning love.
