This is a B side song "Big Chair" from Songs from the Big Chair - Tears for Fears. Since the name of the album was based on Sybil and her many personalities, and Sally Fields' voice is even in the beginning of the song. This instrumental gives me the creeps (but I liked it ) b/c it sounds like a torture chamber and knives sharpening and made me wonder about the darkness of Roland's mind. .

When I say the Saturnine, Martial & Lunatic CD (B side collection) is one of my favorities of TFF, most don't get/ it bc it is a very odd collection of music by them or skeletons of songs that became something else later by them.

Which is PRECISELY WHY I LOVE IT!

One can only listen to "Shout", "Head Over Heels", & "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" so many times....it's like, "that's IT...??" :x

I like the esoteric and unpredictable stuff that Arists do.

This song is more quirky than weird. It's from a 1971 animated movie called the Point and all the music is written and performed by Harry Nilsson.

Well, I rarely listen to their really early stuff, except on their Collection compilation, which has everything. I listen more to Seeds of Love to now. And really mostly only diehard TFF fans love this album, not casual fans. When it came out in late 90s I felt it was better than Raoul & TKOS (which I later loved). To me, this was representative of the true TFF sound yet evolving from early days, and so experimental in many places. A truly atmospheric album, and at 18 tracks never too long. Here's another two I love off of SM&L.

Deja Vu Sins of Science - http://www.youtube.com/v/5Flxzv8-mcQ&hl

And this instrumental with the shipping forecast is my most favorite nighttime highway driving song ever -

I love TFF, their last album is one of the best things released by anyone in the 2000's IMO. It is a really good pop album. I hope Roland and Curt write more together.

I absolutely agree with you. I pull that CD out every spring and summer and love it. They're working on a live album, nothing new. But I give them credit, when they reunited, they said it wouldn't be to cash in on the 80s circuit bands playing only hits for money, that they weren't interested in that. They finally this year are doing a mini tour, 30 something dates. And even in the Asian tour, where that album, ELAHE, wasn't sold and they only know the 80s music mostly, they played six new songs off of it and and a remake bluesy version of Billie Jean and Curt even sings one of his new solo songs, plus Raoul from Roland, which casual fans don't know. They give the crowd many hits, but want to play their new music and do.

I have been keeping an eye on their tour hoping they would get to the Chicago area, but I may need to travel to see them again. I love how they mix up their set and I would love to see more Raoul songs played, that was one of the best albums of the 90's easily. I would love to see "Sketches of Pain" live! It is nice to see both of them getting along again, and maybe by just taking things at their tempo on their terms, maybe a new album will come in due time. They have always been one of my favorite groups.

I love love Raoul & The Kings of Spain too. Love the placement of the songs on that CD. But since Curt wasn't involved I doubt that song will ever be sung since Roland already sings one from that CD. This is the closest we will ever get to live of Sketches of Pain. It amazes me how he sounds live exactly like he does on the album.

I've always loved this video. Great quirky interpretation of the lyrics. Singer is Kerli, a beautiful singer from Estonia. It's an autobiographical song about her and how she didn't fit in, always writing music, and left her country back when she was in her teens to pursue her dreams.

Walking on Air:

And loved this video by her also, strange: Love is Dead

It's not that this song is weird. I love it. Low Life by Roland Orzabal. But the video was so strange, bizarre, actually, and not connected to the song at all, that I couldn't get the dog slippers(attached to a man in a bodysuit) who loves this woman out of my head any time I listened to the song. It took me a long time to enjoy the song again.

I love Gnarls Barkley St. Elsewhere album. What a CD. Fantastic. But there is a sick song on there, Necromancing, about necrophilia and a man's obsession with a dead woman. It's really sick, and I have to skip over it every time. Campy but the sickest song I've ever heard, creepy.
