The Eagles, Muse, Phish, the Strokes and M.I.A. will lead the bill at the 9th annual Austin City Limits Music Festival, to be held Oct. 8-9 at Zilker Park in Austin.

The Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, Spoon, Vampire Weekend, Norah Jones, Band of Horses, Monster of Folk, Deadmau5, Sonic Youth, Gogol Bordello, the National and Robert Earl Keen are among the 130 bands and musicians who will play the annual festival. Broken Bells, the Temper Trap, Girls and Miike Snow will make their ACL debut this year.

Single-date tickets to ACL are currently on sale, and a limited number of three-day VIP passes and travel packages are still available. As previously reported, three-day passes to the fest sold out within 14 hours of going on sale April 21. The quick sellout was record for the festival, which began in 2002 and is believed to be a first for any major festival.

The ACL festival is produced by Austin-based C3 Presents, which also produces Lollapalooza in Chicago. Last year's ACL ranked No. 4 on
Billboard's top 10 list of the highest-grossing festivals of 2009, pulling in $13.5 million and drawing 195,000 people over three days.

Sponsors of this year's ACL festival are Budweiser, AMD, American Express, Austin Ventures, BMI, H-E-B and Sweet Leaf Tea.

I'd drive the 3 hours to see Muse on their own let alone this festival.

The Eagles, Muse, Flaming Lips, and M.I.A. all at the same place ....

I may be looking in to doing this. I know I'd like to!

This festival is HUGE. My daughter goes every year and you have to walk miles, the audience is enormous, and the heat is bad. I would love to go, but I'm a wimp. Getting old sux.

I checked on tickets to Roger Waters and Rush but I'm not going to pay those kind of prices to sit in the rafters and thats all I could find available...way overpriced nosebleed seats....so I'll pass. I was looking at this fest instead.....85 bucks a day but for many bands. I don't want to go all three days, though, so I've been trying to find out which performers play on each day.....all I've found is a list like above. Anyone have info on each days lineup? I've never seen the Eagles in concert and would like to and assume they are headlining and would close the show on Sunday? Not sure. There are some other bands I would like to see too but the Eagles would be the biggest draw to drive that far for.
