Seriously? I can't believe anybody pickets funerals, any funeral. What the hell's wrong with people? Sheesh

The recent announcement that there would be a public memorial service for the late heavy metal icon Ronnie James Dio was one that fans all over the world were extremely happy about, as it is a great way to remember a greater man. However, the memorial could be spoiled by the Westboro Baptist Church who has announced that they plan to picket the event, as people like Ronnie James Dio (i.e. people with intelligence) apparantly are Satanic.

They claim the protest is "to remind you who worship that old Serpent, Satan, that your time is very short. You know 67 year old, Satan-worshiping (or at least one of their enablers) Ronnie James Dio (of showing his devil horns to the world each time he goes in public) Black Sabbath fame is dead, right? We'll be there! Just because the chances of any of God's elect being amongst this group of heavy metal sycophants is slim to none does not mean they should not get some good words.

"He hates his neighbor(s) starting with Ozzy Osbourne, and continuing down to his pornography star niece Gen Padova!

"He hates God. Pay especial attention to the fact that he changed his original sir name from Padova to Dio, which means God in Italian.

"Ronnie the simpleton enabled, and encouraged Sorceries: everything he was about including the little finger horn thing (he got this from his mother which is an incantation to ward off the 'evil eye') to the drugs, bloody raw meat and his fellowship with those pentagon necklace wearing freakish band members."

The memorial is scheduled to take place at The Hall Of Liberty in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA at two in the afternoon on May 30th.

You know, I'd love to see a shit load of music fans picketting the Westborough Baptist Church, playing rock EXTREMELY loudly during their sermons. In fact, if these shameless, hating, anger-baiting arseholes do picket RJD's funeral, I think we need to be booking a few rock legends to play a marathon free concert right outside this church of hatred. Let them be on the receiving end for once.

What a bunch of freakin' tools.
They give "religion" a bad name and make it
kind of embarrassing that, as an active duty military member,
I am helping to secure their Constitutional Rights of
Freedom of Speech!

Make sure it's Rainbow In The Dark or Holy Diver too. Maybe throw in Man On The Silver Mountain for good measure too.

I like the marathon concert idea too. Set up a stage across the street with a wall of Marshall stacks and rattle the pews.
