This is basically the only game the Wii has released that is worth playing so far this year...and it is just more Mario. Nintendo is so stuck in the past that it's ridiculous. The third party games are lame at best. For every good game there are 100 that simply suck. There is MAYBE one title every quarter that is worth buying. The console itself is old tech...basically a Gamecube with a motion controller...and a controller that is over-hyped, gimmicky, and doesn't work as well as it should. The Wii has become just an expensive toy for 5yr olds, Wii fit nuts, or old nostalgic people who can't get past 1999.
Wrong !
First of, why would Nintendo change anything when they still sell more hardware and software than the competition!? They have exclusive rights to the most popular videogame character , so why wouldnt they use it and improve it and release quality first party games that still sell ?
YOU judge a Mario game cause you havent played one since 1985,,,, but if you would take some time and actually try (and beat) Mario Galaxy 1 (or 2) you will realize that Its very challenging and more than just a game for a 5 yr old.
You are entitled to your opinoin, but the fact that your opinion is based on Nintendo-hate without any actual openminded judgement, makes your opinion less credible.
Wii is a lot more than just a GameCube with motion controller. First of, the graphics are a step above, while not 1080P HD, theyre still HD. Plus the WiiMote is MORE accurate than what your xbox forums tell you. You need to try the games before you pass judgements on them buddy. Funny how both Sony and MS are copying the motion control idea for their future add-ons....
And add-ons is exactly what Sony and MS will be depending on the next 4-5 which by then Nintendo announces and releases yet another successful console.
I love my PS3 ,,,its a very powerful system with many amazing games and features. BUT , the fact that they dont have a decent platformer that would come close to Mario Galaxy, is the reason I will always have a Nintendo machine handy, for as long as they keep producing great Mario & Zelda games .
