Melissa Etheridge Getting Divorced

PostPosted: Sun May 23, 2010 2:01 am

I think this is her second divorce. I guess even lesbian rockers can't stay married either.
She said it was amicable and mutual. I guess her heartbroken "wife" doesn't feel that way. Tammy's blog.

actress Tammy Etheridge (probably dropping that last name real quick) has taken to her blog to air her grievances about her ex-wife very publicly!

In this blog post titled "no more censorship for me?", Tammy lets Melissa have it for abandoning her and their children and also for lying to the media about why they split, which Melissa claims was "mutual".

Apparently NOT!

In case she gets bloggers remorse and decides to take down what she wrote, we will share with you her original entry in its entirety!

Tammy writes:

well, no censorship?
really, honey?
awesome.

things can be a long time coming
to one
and smash the hell out of
another:
hit and run
not even staying to clean up the mess

secrets, with-holding,
whispering to all but
the one whom holds the vows
and the toddlers

disappearances into the
hourglass-shaped wood with strings
never to finish a fight
never interested in clarifying,
making sense, making it right
even finishing the fight
more interested in making something rhyme
time after time after time
and later angsting that you and me, WE
it didn't work out
you evolved
you needed to be happy-
but really… you withdrew your hands
from family and intimacy
to pluck those strings more

i'd rather hear 10,000 fans
screaming my name in worship
than hear my wife harp on me
about my family intimacy issues too,
you know?
which one is going to get me harder?
easy answer

sideswiped and left mangled
up to my eyes in toilet training toddlers
and sounds of a guitar wailing
letting me know
you would probably leave me soon
i know those heart-ache wails by now

i even told you it was a break up album
and you laughed at me
you laughed and laughed
i heard fearless and i got sick
"that's your break up song with me"
i said to you
you got so angry with me, remember?
and stomped off

so thank you for telling an interviewer
that you WON'T censor me on my blog
(i thought i was to say nothing, my bad)
i was so unhappy thinking people dare look at me
and think that i consider
a marriage and forever to be
nine years or six years or whatever
and i gave up on everything
and just walked off
never is that me… nope, never

cuz i did not go anywhere, honey.
and you and i both know it
please stop telling the press it was mutual-

my birthday rolled around,
the holidays….
and me and the twins sat right there waiting…
we didn't go anywhere. we just
sat and waited and waited and waited and waited…..

"i saw you with your new friends….
you wear them so well…."

i think you're saying it's okay
to be more open now on this blog?
whew.
good. cuz sitting on the fence of
"speak true"
and
"say nothing"

fucking rides a pole so far up my ass it nearly pierces my brain, and i can't take it anymore, now that i am back home where people don't live in the smoke and mirrors.

oh, and don't let me forget this.

i still love that damn woman so much, i'm still trying to stop. i had a dream last where honey and i were fighting and going to get a divorce, and i woke up sobbing…. then i realized. oh. it's true. and then what do you do? when the horrible feeling in the dream gets to stay even after you wake up?

there. there is my truth as of today.

home again.
home again.
feeling true.
feeling honest.

It's a shame that this country condones bringing up children in that filthy lifestyle. They're probably better off not seeing that anymore, anyway.

i agree that it may not be an emotionally healthy environment for children to grow up in a home where the parents do not get along.

LOL. Great comeback.

Just what I read in that, and in an interview I saw she said it was mutual. I bought this album, Fearless Love, and it's fantastic. Love it. I would say it's amazing. Rocks, but with great hooks and melodies.

It's not for me or anyone else to know what happens with Melissa Etheridge and her real life. All I know is that whatever has happened to her has allowed her to create some of the greatest music I've ever heard.

I truly despise when public people rant publicly about non-public events. Like somehow their break-up is more painful and important than the nice lady down the block. Glad Melissa took the high road on this one. I'm sorry for her family. I'm sure the kids will be just dandy.

Her new album is quite incredible. Hoping to see her in early August. Wish for my first grandchild to be born a week early so I can go.

There was just a post from a chickenshit homophobe who deleted it by the time I went to quote it.

I won't mention names, but if you're gonna post something, at least have the balls to stand behind it.

What's amazing, to come out with such a great CD after being in the business so long and to still seem fresh, and she wrote all the songs herself, no co-songwriter.

What the fuck is a "homophobe" anyway? Better yet, why the fuck do you assume that people that disapprove of the unnatural and disgusting behavior of fags are somehow afraid of them? I had fag friends in college. I neither hated nor feared them, though. "Homophobe" is thrown around like "racist." It's usually just a convenient way to divert attention from explaining why one man would want to put his crank up another man's shit tunnel. Or why a woman would want to lick another woman's pussy. Why even have reproductive organs? And we're supposed to allow these sexually perverse dolts to raise kids? They'd be better off in Haiti under about 54 fucking tons of stone.

How's it going Alice? I retracted only because I didn't want to be accused of being a homophobe. So much for that. That's the amazing part about the entire thing with you and many like you, if we don't agree with what you think is right or wrong, you call me a homophobe. I don't think it's healthy to bring up kids in a gay atmosphere, and I never will. I grew up around it, my parents had more gay friends then straight ones, yet when I got old enough to form my opinion, you say I'm a homophobe. Your an American-made communist.

I love Melissa's music....she is very talented as a writer and a musician.

As far as her lifestyle goes...it would not be my choice...but I guess in America we are free to choose how we live our lives.

What one has to do with the other I am not sure?

It's not a choice. My choice isn't to be heterosexual. I just am. I guess she could have chosen to be closeted and lived a false life, like that country singer did, to please a certain segment of our society.

The "choice" is to engage in a disgusting lifestyle that is unnatural and anti-creation. I'm sure there are hundreds of male teachers that get the urge to bang 16 year old girls every year, and there are probably some that get flat out propositioned. But the overwhelming majority don't because they know it's wrong. Fags could make that very same "choice" to say no. Hey, fuck it, live together, suck each other's cranks, tear up each other's shitters, but do not be anywhere near kids ... let alone raising them.
