Someone on here said the guys had no energy or whatever. I thought they didn't see the same concert I did. Because Neal looked like he was having the time of his life up there. Even in all that humidity and heat, his playing was amazing. He gave it his all. I think he said his strings were rusting by the second song b/c of the humidity. I can't remember. It was on the notes on the DVD.

No, stay off until next year. Some of these bands are just milking it too much. One year on...one off.

Would normally agree with your sentiment, but how much longer have these guys got, to do what they do?
What's that saying...........make hay while the sun shines. It won't be long before the band is old and decrepit like the Rolling Stones.

Dude, relax. Journey has aged well, and stayed away from over drug use. There are plenty of bands older than they are still going strong; The Rolling Stones, E Street, The Who, etc. Those bands have guys reaching close to their 70's and they still sound great live. Journey isn't like fuckin Asia, where you can see the imminent glow of the bones shining through their skin...I mean seriously, Asia looks like they're fucking dead zombies.

I saw this on MAY 29... all I gotta say... DEEN FREAKING rules... he helped Arnel sooo much with the songs... amazing...
loved Deen's version of still they ride and mother father... want to hear more from DEEN singing. Neal was on fire with his fingers... I dont know if it sold me to go see them again... but three hours of journey sounded great. I wonder what the ratings were like for the premiere showing?? The best thing about Arnel is he gives the rest of the band the energy needed to survive a long show!!

Good point. Let's face it, Neal will go as long as he can, which is a lot more years. And many on here don't like Jon, but that guy looks like he's 48 and in great shape. It's shocking he's 60, and he seems to not mind being on the road. Deen hates to get off the road and is younger. They've got plenty of years left unless cancer hits Neal or Jon.

With the state of the concert business right now, Journey picked the right time to be off the road. The only hard part is that the business might just change quickly making it more difficult for bands to earn the money they are used to. If that is too drastic a change, you may see bands like Journey retiring from the road because it will no longer feel as good. LiveNation has cancelled several full tours because they are in serious finacial trouble and so many tours have been or will be losses due to over-paying acts. Ever act will likely argue that they were over-paid. But chances are everybody's value is going to decrease.

Ok, lets get on the same page here.

Dean said he didn't frequent any show last year 2009 right? Robbie comes in with 2008 and I believe Dean was there in 2008, but heckled only in 2006 and 2007. Either way, who cares?

I was not referring to any of the dates....I was more referring to the fact that Dean's response to anything
Bobbie posts is usually something that I would not want to get in the the head with.

Carry on.......

Yeah, I screamed down the Frig in Vegas...forgot about that, but you can't tell me that made the DVD did it?

As for RobbieG, fuck him. He harasses me night and day via PM. Guy has a secret crush on me. He now says in addition to the Journey crew hating me, that the Springsteen camp hates me too. Make up your mind dude.
