I've tried laying out those sheets for the 2 puppies we've had to potty train (separate occasions/years). Never wanted to stand on it...just chew and push it around, lol. My way: Just like my own boys, let them do their business on the floor until they develop the self-control to "hold" it for the toilet... that is, toilet for the boys, yard for the dog .

When the discussion gets into political...gay...racism talk...that's when it gets heated and most of the time, I am loathe to add fuel to the fire. I could see people were digressing on the topic of Mel, the actor, and more along their own personal agenda(s).

My own personal feeling about this sort of "entertainment news" is people are too hung up on gossip and quick to condemn and judge...when we have no idea what the whole story is or "know" any of these celebrities... be they actors/musicians/athletes. There's always 2 sides to a story, and invariably, we almost always only get 1 side.

It seems, everyday, something "bad" is revealed about a celebrity. It's just important to reallize that people are not perfect... human beings come with flaws..moral or otherwise. Remember "goody-two-shoes" Jimmy Carter (while he was President) admitted to unsavory thoughts? It was a scandal!

Bottom line, we can choose to like or dislike (support or not support), but unless said celebrity commits some hideous crime, I choose to believe there is a redeeming value in liking/admiring his/her work.

Just my $.02.

P.S. I don't personally use foul language, nor do I approve of it coming from my loved ones. If I ever catch any of my sons spewing off like that, I'd slap them silly. From other people, well, I have no right to tell them what they can or can't say....so I just let it slide
