Should every team be represented in the MLB All-star game?

I say no....the game has become a popularity contest.

Nope, it's akin to giving every player in the little league a trophy just for playing.

I am in favor of managers' picks though, as some legitimate All-Star talent can get lost in a bad small market team (see: Shin-Soo Choo)

You mean the faking injury bullsit that is soccer? That was the worst sporting event I have ever seen. So glad it's over.

Yes, imo a member of each team should be represented. You can rarely say that there is not one person on each team that doesn't deserve to be there. Plus, with today's All Star game the manager adds half his own damn team even if they weren't voted in [or so it seems] and with all the fan voting... nobody, regardless to how good they are, in a smaller market is ever going to accumulate the same number of votes as those teams in major markets.

Perhaps because you don't understand it. It's a cerebral game, and a thinkers game. It differs from basketball like night and day.

Deano is never right. Baseball is the most boring sport on planet. Right next to your "straight" Football

I wasn't trying to insult you, just assumed you were a fair weather fan who didn't get the intricacies of baseball.

Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports. Baseball is hardly boring. You have pitching, offense, defense, strategy, on the fly decision making. Soccer sure as fuck doesn't have that. They have grass, smelly euros, and no scoring.

You are half right, I AM a fair weather fan...but that' BECAUSE I get it. I'd much rather watch football (UNITED STATES football) than anything else.

It's not boring to play (I love playing) and it's not boring to watch in real life-I just hate watching on TV-I don't know why-it just bores me on TV.

And once again, it bugs the hell out of you that Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. but you cant change it, as it will only become more popular as it is slowly taking over US ;)

I know why YOU enjoy baseball the most ;)

Yeah, sure it is. Wake me when it's 3015. It will never be big here and for good reason. The only reason it's the most popular "sport" is that anyone can play it and for the cost of 7 bucks(ball), you have a match. O boy, can't you feel the excitement? These third world nations couldn't play football or basketball if they wanted to...they aren't athletic enough.

Yep,, soccer is the most popular sport in Europe also, and they produce the finest hockey players as well..... If youre American Football player were truly athletich, they wouldnt play rugby with all that protection,,, they would take a hit on the fucking grass like a MAN, without shoulder pads , looking like RoboCop ;)

For as long as Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and as long as the amount of soccer players in US grows, there is no need for an argument. You will have a valid argument the day the American youth stops playing soccer and talks the rest of the world into it. Until then, be a closet-fan ;)

B, for as long as soccer is the most popular sport in the world and as long as the amount of soccer players in the US grows, I will still not be a fan....and that's OK, I'm glad you enjoy it. Have a nice day!

oh and to answer the actual poll question... no. I used to think that all the teams should be represented... but now I dont think that way...and baseball is a great game in person, not so much on TV... TV concentrates on the pitcher and the batter and not on anything else during the game... there is lots going on beyond the 90 feet between home and the pitchers mound... and if you keep score... it makes your experience more involved.

Nothing wrong with curling dude. Ever sit and actually watch a match? It is pretty intellectual and talented.

I will never watch another All-star game again. Ever since TIM Wakefield got voted in, but didn't get in the game..I said no more for me. Selig's choice to make the game mean something other than what it is, an exhibition, turns me off to it too...
