MORE VAN HALEN RUMORS - 2011 TOUR!:
Nothing going on in the world of Van Halen? Not on the surface maybe, but this from a brand new interview with Triumph frontman Rik Emmett:
"We're scheduled to go for a dinner tonight with a couple of guys from Live Nation that have flown into town and want to take us to dinner. I'm sure there's going to be some sort of a pitch. The rumours that have been sort of blowing in the wind are that Van Halen want to go back out yet again next year, but they're going to need some sort of support to make the packaging a little more interesting. Because Triumph hasn't really ever toured in any kind of a nostalgia way, I think Live Nation kind of goes, "Oh, yeah, you guys would be perfect for that." So, we'll see sort of the size and the shape and the glitter of the golden carrots that they have."

This does sound good, but I am sure I am not going to like the pricing of the tickets.

This would be a great show!

This will be THE tour next year if it happens. All those festivals who worried about following up AC-DC with another big act next year just got their headliner if VH DOES go out on the road. It will be interesting to see if U2 adds more dates next year after they complete their stateside stadium run. With Bon Jovi and Aerosmith possibly taking a year off, the field is wide open for big headliners as long as they get the right support act. I'm thinking Journey ends up with Heart again though which isn't really a bad thing, or is it?

I would say go to both, Journey will have new material also and its Rockin.

Or, just see Heart and then leave. That way, no hassle getting out of the parking lot.

Def Leppard is taking off this summer also, so look for them to hit the road again in 2011.

Actually, Heart could open for them. That would be a unique matchup.

DAT's are about the same, quality wise as a CD. They are more for recording, as they tend to error less than recording to a CD in a studio environment. At least it used to be that way. I don't know about now.Before CD burners came out, if you wanted a mix tape recorded from CDs with out losing quality, you used DAT.

I don't think that's going to happen, Van Halen is a bit more of a crowd puller than Triumph. Rik and the boys have been on the BBQ festival circuit, not exactly a top tier act like they used to be.

I hope this is true, i have been waiting a long time to see Triumph back again. They are in my top 5 favorite bands
