Apple just announced that they will give out free bumpers to everyone who purchased an iPhone 4. Those who already purchased one will get reimbursed. This is of course on response to Consumer Report and bloomberg crucifying Apple and iPhone 4 antenna issues.

That thing would kill the whole look of the phone. Why buy something nice just to put a big rubber-band around it. Glad I didn't buy one! Do you have one Behshad?

wow, I may have to purchase one ...I ran into a big cement pole the other day
and bruised my bumper. This is cheaper than a $500.00 deductable, eh?!?!

So, will they buy you a new holster if your old one can't accommodate the extra girth to the phone caused by the bumper?

I got one and luckily NO signal issues whatsoever. Same thing with the wife's,,,, so now we get 2 free bumpers which I might just sell on eBay

I see that thing happen to my phone now and then, but it's never affected my usage at all. Even when the bars go down, the Internet 3G still works and I dont get dropped calls or anything. Weird!! I'll get it and wait to see if a cheaper knock off comes out soon, and then I'll probably sell mine too I want something that covers the back too. And to all you haters, it's an awesome phone!!! SO fast!!! And a great battery!! It made my last iPhone feel like a piece of crap

The bars going up and down is being solved by the update 4.0.1 that arrived last nite. It changed the looks of the bars slightly to reflect actual signals you have.

You didn't get lucky B, the issues people have raised hell about have been reported by a very vocal minority...Jobs' press conference today really went into depth about the quality control at Apple. Personally I'm waiting for the white one July 30th. BTW I've never had any of the wifi issues with my iPad that everyone has been complaining about as well. Supposedly the new update yesterday (I've been on the road and haven't had sufficient access to download it yet) solves the iPad wifi concerns as well.

My biggest complaint about Apple right now is their lack of supply, which I guess is a savvy business move on their part, but c'mon. 3-4 weeks to wait for a product is BS.
