For all of you........a simple thought

Sometimes this mortal coil, for which we strain and strive,
can beat us down, and make us wonder why we are alive.
When weary of my earthly form, I think on blessings given,
and count each friend, a precious gem, in flight my spirits risen.
I worry less, about this shell, the pain the soreness too,
and think about how much they bless, and then I am not so blue.
Thank you my friends, my sweetest joys, my life is so complete.
How much you lift my burdens, and make my life so sweet.
Ginger G.

I tried to put this on facebook, but you are limited to 430 characters. So I had to remove a line. I put the full thing on here. I know it is a bit sappy, but it is true.

I fell yesterday, tweeked my back again, but reading here sometimes helps me think less on my physical shortcomings. You guys are such a wonderful blessing. And sickly sweet or not, it needs to be said. The guys can gag all they want. But I would hug each and every one of you if I met you. Your a blessing in my life, much like the friends I have here.

Thank you so much!

Screw them if they don't like it. They can stay OUT of the thread and keep all their negativity to themselves then.
There is nothing wrong with expressing one's appreciation for those around them.

Bjg has spoken, dammit. 8)

Thank you once again my friends,
a poet I am not.
But you have been there once again,
you never have forgot.
You have given me the sweetest gift,
your words are like pure gold.
The kindest thoughts that sure uplift,
when I feel down or old.
And for your friendship I am blessed,
a present I must give you.
The caricatures will add some zest,
for the best of friends so true. Ginger Grahn

Thank you...........I hope you have enjoyed them so far. If I have not gotten to you yet remind me! :D

My day wasn't quite as wretched today, so your good wishes must have worked :) Though I still must deal with a new bootcamp boss from hell and a whole bunch of changes in my day job so keep the positive vibes coming my way please!

I am putting Roses around your caricature, that grow in my yard. My prize babies that I almost lost to a storm this year. I had to cut them way back, and they are puny this year but they are coming back. they are yellow in the center, a bit of white, then bright pink. Beautiful roses. They smell like heaven, and when the roses are well, they have huge blooms that bloom and bloom well into December. They are a bit ill right now. Been having to nurse them back to health.

I think this thread is just really cute. A few years ago you could not post a thread like this at this forum. They would have run you out of here and you would not have looked back. The thread does say alot about the changing temperament of the people who still remain and alot about those who no longer post. It's about the folks here who came and stayed and how puzzingly they are not at each other's throats any longer. I'd like to think perhaps the band members (past and present) aren't either. Time might not heal all wounds. They might not entirely disappear but at least they are no longer gushing blood. We do not have to like each other but at least we can all be in the same room without attacking the person standing next to us. It's forgiving not necessarily forgetting and giving ourselves another chance at making things right.

I'm a firm believer of Hinduism. Yoga and meditation. My hair is shoulder length and perhaps a bit longer and I have big dark brown eyes. I'm usually very happy and very peaceful and always try to be very positive. I hope this is enough to capture my spirit.

You always have a lovely spirit...........I just don't want to make a wrong assumption. I cannot tell if you are caucasian, or african american, ....................I will draw you as a loving spirit with warm brown eyes, maybe color will be what I lead it to be. I see you lovely. :D
