I thought she was miming at first, the voice did not seem to match the person it was coming out of. She has been doing this a few years now already. It's refreshing that she is following this path with the classics, I think there is a better chance for her to succeed in that genre compared to the over-saturated pop market and mediocre performances coming from that quarter. I mean there are millions of young girls trying to imitate Miley or Britney but how many are covering Puccini?

I think everyone thought that! She is amazing, has an incredible voice (kind of freaky to watch her, really). I have to say, after watching some of her other YT clips and hearing her story (she's only been singing for a couple of years) - I get the impression that she's really mimicking what she's heard, without really feeling the song (sound familiar? ) Not taking anything away from her talent or what she's chosen to do - I think that just explains why it was so weird to watch her - it's like it really wasn't her singing. But what a cutie-pie too!

She's definitely mimicking but to take on such a mature catalog where other girls like Charice were copying Celine or Whitney, it is just amazing. What helps are the songs being classics that have been covered professionally more than once so she is in the right genre when it comes to songs being released with multiple renditions.

When you are singing DSB everyone knows it's a Journey song but when this girl sang last night, I doubt if even a quarter of the younger viewing audience had ever heard of the song or even know Puccini.

She was amazing. Every singer mimics someone or many someones in the beginning, the throughout thier lives they develope their own voice and signature.

Yeah, I'm thinking, if Prince Poppycock (or whatever his name is  ) was watching - he must know he's done as far as being the opera singer going to the final! (although I do think he's pretty cool too).

Then there's the illusionist who pulled the dental floss through his neck last night - now that was freaky!

She reminds me of a young Hayley Westenra.

Wow, I was amazed by this pretty, poised young lady. Her voice and demeanor for a person all of 10 years old is unreal :o
