I don't know a lot about Thin Lizzy, so I'm just wondering if anyone here knows which version of "The Boys Are Back In Town" is used during the credits in the Expendables? Thanks.

Hopefully one with John Sykes manning the main axe! Only Sykes could make that movie rock any harder. Seriously, from what I remember it sounded like the original song. If there were multiple versions or re-records, I wouldn't have known.

It's the original tune. And as many times as I've heard that song, it was still cool to hear it in a theater and to see the words "Written by Philip Parris Lynott" on the screen.

Ugh. Horrific choice, thankfully it must not have hurt the film's box office.
That thing is one of the tunes that cause to me change the station IMMEDIATELY upon recongnition.

Sorry, a Journey tune wouldn't have worked in the context of the story.

I knew there was a reason you annoy me so much.

That song and "Taking Care Of Business."
Same boat.
Some dork, somewhere, gets fired up when they come on the radio.

And any of that lounge lizard crap (Sinatra, Bennett, etc.) they love to spin up during the final credits of some action movies. Was Die Hard the first to do that?

Thin Lizzy rocks. Still have to see this film. I'll love it.
