The guy in the 45 hat is Kyle Petty, who years ago actually took time off from racing for singing and guitar playing. The rest are drivers in the Chase, and the people on the "Race Day" show on SPEED channel.

The driver you're thinking of is probably Danica Patrick, who is an IndyCar (Indianapolis 500 etc.) driver who has started to run some second tier Nascar races this year also. She hasn't done much in stock cars, but has a huge fan following from her IndyCar racing, where's she's actually won one race.

The girl on the video is Wendy Venturini, who is a reporter on the Race Day show. Her family has been involved in racing for years.

I lost interest this year. JJ is a great driver but it just gets so fucking boring seeing the same driver win all the time whether its him or anyone else. It's nice to see he is slipping a little bit but I know he's too damn good to let that last. He'll be on top before the chase ends for a record 5th. I don't know if thats good or bad but it would be nice to see somebody give him a run at least.

+1 I do admire Jimmy Johnson and Chad Knaus. They are an awesome team and both guys are class acts. But they're just a bit too vanilla for my liking. The most edgy JJ ever got was to grow a beard. I preferred the sport when it was a little more colorful. Drivers had personality, there were feuds once in a while a fistfight broke out. Everything is so sanitized now. Its more about the marketing. Can't have a driver say or do something the sponser won't like. Still it beats watching golf IMO.
