Anyone else here pick up Ozzy's newest album "Scream"? MAN I'm loving this. :D I love to see Ozzy still out there doing what he loves, and he's one hell of a song writer! His vocals are still sounding GREAT (I'm sure with much help from the studio, but I don't give a damn!). Too bad Perry doesn't have the drive and the passion that Ozzy does. Here are the songs...

1. Let It Die

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYS0DVxpKTU

2. Let Me Hear You Scream- AWESOME video!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5JJy8Z4dNM&ob=av2e

3. Soul Sucker

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHSh9P0uEd8

4. Life Won't Wait- Probably my favorite new song of the year.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAh_SCjCh8A&ob=av2e

5. Diggin' Me Down- Amazing guitar work in the intro that would have made Randy proud.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dHHZ6W2tsw

6. Crucify

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmPInEXEoDs

7. Fearless- Bad quality, but it's all I could find.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AutWTYgEuE0

8. Time- One of the coolest, most unique Ozzy songs I've ever heard. It sounds like Ozzy meets the Beach Boys! :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqziCxfs4MA

9. I Want It More- Sounds like classic Ozzy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb-HZ-v9vwY

10. Latimer's Mercy- Not my favorite song, but it's okay.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zxU1N-P ... re=related

11. I Love You All- VERY cool little nod from Ozzy to his fans! The whole song is 1:02 minutes long. :D

So what do you think? Did Andrew review this? I can't remember. Going to look now...

The reviews have been good on this, if I remember right. I was going to pick it up.

I was disappointed in this one... I had high hopes for this to sound different than the last 3-4 that were basically BLS albums with Ozzy on them, but this album has more of the same. I even gave it 3 spins to see if it was a grower, and I ended up FF tracks 40 seconds after they started.

I posted all of these songs in order of the album, so this is it. What do you think Jana? Don't listen to T-Bone... he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. :D

I can't believe anyone still cares about Ozz and his craptastic solo career post-Diary (save the title track of "No More Tears").

The Devil You Know by H&H decimates anything Ozzy's done for the last two decades-plus.

I don't see how any fan of rock can listen to those songs and not like ANYTHING about them. To each their own, but I think he kicks ass, and I admire a man that's accomplished what he has.

I didn't say he never did anything worthwhile. He's the original singer of Black Sabbath, fer cryin' out loud.

But his solo career doesn't measure up to what he did in Sabbath, and his '80s solo albums have some kickass songs (and some ho-hum stuff, especially on NRftW) but they're not on par with Dio's '80s solo albums, either.

I guess it boils down to whether you're more of an Ozz fan or Dio fan. Myself, I'm a Dio fan. The guy sang circles around Ozzy, especially in Rainbow and Sabbath.

Kickass, thanks Jim. Yeah and you look at Ozzy, the man can still release albums and sound great after all he has been through! I use to watch the Osbournes many years ago, would never of thought he could still sing, the man can could barely talk let alone still perform! amazing, just goes to show what passion, detirmination and love for the music and fans can do.

What's Perry's excuse?. Again I know he doesn't owe us anything, but... what's the problem, really.

Not a huge Ozzie fan, but I do like "Life Won't Wait". Mostly the music, not the video so much.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

You lost me when you said Ozz was a great song writer  Ozzy didn't have much of a hand in writing the Sabbath songs (Geezer wrote the majority of the lyrics, Ozzy came up with a few ideas though), Ozzy apparently didn't write either of the first two solo albums that came out as it's been long rumored that Daisley, Kerslake, and Rhodes wrote the majority of the songs (I have read where Daisley said Ozzy came up with the idea for a couple song titles). Daisley has been in and out of Ozzy's solo career so much it's not even funny. I think the last album that he had a hand in was No More Tears, which surprising or not was Ozzy's last good solo album.

As for the new album, it's meh to me. It has a couple good tracks on it, but it's not something I'd listen to continuously. Hell I think I listened to it maybe 3-4 times the first 2 weeks it came out and haven't listened to it since.

It's like another posted said if you want to hear a good piece of music go pick up Heaven and Hell's "The Devil You Know". That my friend is a kickin' album.

When Randy Rhoads died, so did the music. Ozzy's never been the same musically after that.
