I always admired his talent, but absolutely HATED his antics. Looks like he may be coming back to MN... Hopefully he'll leave his attitude in NE

Can the Vikings handle more than one colossal ego?

Randy Moss doesn't have an ego. He just plays the game.

S2M is probably on suicide watch.

Lol @ Saint John (but not at his sig  )

Obviously this is good news for teams like the Steelers, Jets, Ravens, Chargers, Colts, and even the Texans for a run at the AFC. The Pats are beatable this year and isn't that threat-ful than they once were some years ago, but they still are a good team and Brady and the offense can still scorch defense's. Losing Moss knocks them down a peg that much more as a team and drastically changes how team will approach N.E and possibly Brady, who's looked okay thus far. Also, Welker benefited from Moss taking the linebackers and safeties with him so Welker with his knee not 100%, could get more balls, but take an even MORE beating in the process and teams could certainly adjust their defense around him without any major threat deep without Moss.

Moss is a cancer and a loser. Hope he ends his career without winning a championship.

The biggest hit on the Pats will be losing the double-teams that Moss consistently attracted. Welker is a great slot receiver but you put double-coverage on him and he's practically non-existent, especially on his still-recovering knee.

The good thing though, is when Brady and the offense are able to adapt without Moss, I think he'll go back and just try to find the open receiver, as opposed to trying to force Moss the ball when he isn't always open.

It's a bump in the road. It'll take an adjustment or two, might affect their overall offensive performance for a few games, but it'll be better for the Pats in the long run.

Thing is, is that the Pats offense is built around finding the open receivers, which happen to all be underneath routes with all Yards After Catch and that allows the defense to move their bodies forward and eventually get beat on the long ball. There pretty much isn't a better guy in the NFL that does it better than Moss throughout the years at stretching the field so that threat is no longer there and teams will attack the Pats a little differently and put more pressure on Brady and dial up more blitzes rather than keeping an extra corner or safety doubled on Moss deep. Should be interesting how Bellichick draws it up. N.E is a young team.

THE VIKES now have two cry babies on their team... awesome. but Randy will help them with Adrian Peterson being able to find holes more than usual to run through, than anything else... defesnes will not be able to sell out and have 8 in the box now...

If Randy and Brett get on the same page... it could be an interesting next part of the season...

Agreed. NE won THREE SBs w/o Moss....the third, with a rag tag core of receivers. Point is they Beat Miami w/o Moss. And Miami wasn't double-teaming him...Randy is high maintainence. Plain and simple. He needs his ego stroked every game. Where other team players would be happy just winning the game....Moss was irked that he wasn't featured in the first half....Deep down Randy is haunted by not winning that SB against the Giants. I know it.

right and if Brett doesnt throw the ball to him at least 6 times agame once they get going... U can put money on it that Moss will get in Bretts face...and if Moss drops a bunch of fast balls over the middle... or if he gets pouty and quits on plays... which he is known to do... Brett will not be happy at all... let the soap opra begin.

THE VIKES now have two cry babies on their team... awesome.

Awesome?! Coming from a Green Bay fan? This should downright scare the living shit out of Pack fans and everyone here knows how I feel about Green Bay and their shot at the title this season. The Vikings started out the way they started out because Favre didn't have any go-to guy to speak of and it put more pressure on an out of shape Favre to perform in the passing game when it simply wasn't there like it was a year ago without Sidney Rice.

The forgotten man in all of this is Adrian Peterson. Teams will be so worried about the Favre to Moss, Harvin,Rice (when he DOES return) & the Shiancoe connection that Adrian Peterson will probably benefit from it the most and he's already having a great season. This simple trade makes the Vikes stacked as ever this season and it's going to really bolster Minnesota into a beast, esp when they turn it on to what their capable of playing.

you forgot, MOSS quits on plays...and he quit on the Pats... yes he is great when he is great... but he is about as much a team player as Favre is... and well where has that gotten the Vikings so far.... why else are the Pats okay to give him up not for a markee player but for a future draft choice... just my thoughts... I could be really wrong... so we shall see how the season plays out...

What are you talking about? Say what you want about Favre, but there's two sides to EVERY story and Green Bay management sure did have it's faults with dealing with the Favre situation. Both sides were right and both sided fucked up something that could have ended great rather than bitter, but to question Brett Favre in being a team player is laughable. The dude is possibly one of the greatest teammates of all time. So much, that Vikings players put aside his history of when he was in Green Bay, and went to his house THEMSELVES and begged him to come back to them.

The Pats didn't want to make any advancements with Moss because of the possible bargaining agreement and has everything to do with money and probably age than anything else. Even Tom Brady has come to Moss's side when Moss was a Patriot. Moss might be lazy at times, but you don't become the most dominant player in stretching the field for being lazy and unlike Terrell Owens, Moss kept his mouth shut until now.

I think Belichick and the Patriot's front office are geniuses...They knew they weren't going to give Moss a contract when there is going to be a lockout next year...and when Moss returns after the lockout he'll be 35. They didn't want to be paying a 35, 36, 37, and 38 year old major money for decreasiing production...so what did they do? They made sure when a team inquired about him they dumped him off - mind you - to a team that is about to play their division rival on MNF this upcoming monday....also, they get Minny's 3rd rnd pick. They asked for a 2nd, but Minny balked. So that gives NE 8 picks in the first 4 rnds. Oakland's 1st rnd pick is looking pretty tasty right now....A.J. Green could be available. This draft is going to be VERY QB heavy....that just may leave Ingram, or Green available at Oakland's/NE's pick....
