... stop making shit videos?

I mean really?! They are always awful and tacky as hell. Just watching the new Unruly Child one and I know a fair few students who could do a much better job. Granted they don't have much of a budget but that is no reason for awful camera angles and awful editing. Cutting to drums when they just shouldn't, not cutting to the vocals when they should etc - just terrible. Anyone remember the crap W.E.T One Love video? What is Frontiers obsession with having rubbish effects? It makes them look like a shoddy company.

When they stop signing (by and large) shit bands.

...I'd like to see Frontiers commit on some of their projects for more than one album. Likewise, there are bands they have committed to multiple albums that probably should've been dropped altogether.

Maybe so, but my two examples; Unruly Child & WET are far from that.

I've been saying this for a while. Just by giving someone an expensive video camera doesn't make you a great videographer. Give it to ANY video class, and you would get better results than the UC video. I've done enough videography and editing that I could do a better job.

the only one I can think of that wasn't cringe-inducing was the video for Danny Vaughn's Nothing At All from the From the Inside cd.

btw, their names for project albums aren't much better. When "WET" is one of the better ones, you know you are in trouble. Why they don't market it as a solo album is beyond me. If nothing else, they would sell better that way.

WET isn't even a band as much as they were a project, and I don't think anyone wants to hear my opinion on Unruly Child.

let me guess..."a band that wasn't good enough to make it the first time around", right?
Maybe so, maybe not, but it's also a little more complicated than that...

Interview with keyboardist Guy Allison from the band regarding the making of the album with producer Beau Hill.

Were you ever a "priority" case or merely just another release at your record label?

In the beginning, I thought so. Interscope was a new label with more than a few genres. For AOR, we were certainly (in my impression) a priority.

Did you ever feel like the record label supported you guys enough afterwards? (promotion-wise, tours, etc.).

They couldn't. Beau and the label had (how does one put this delicately) a "falling out". After that, the band was "persona non grata". Game over, record basically not supported. It was a real shame.
