Saw him last night in Concert.....unbelievable.

Studied Opera in Italy; was a Metal singer back in the day, with "Lotus"

Gotta tell ya....there was a part where his female co-star came out - he walked her over to a chair; started singing....

Now, I've heard this a gazillion times, and I'm sorry....but Michael Crawford is AWFUL as "The Phantom"
But MICHAEL FREAKIN' AMANTE singing this.....? GOOD LORD!

She was sitting there in her fancy ball-gown; he was walking behind her, singing.....then he swooped up next to her, put his arm around the front of her shoulders, and was singing in her ear.

And I'm thinking, "Girl, are you breathing heavy because of the CHARACTER - or because this HOT MAN is singing in your ear?!"

You can tell he used to sing in a rock band the way he's working that mic stand. You don't see to many opera singers doing that.

Do you know HOW MUCH POWER AND CONTROL you have to have to HIT THOSE NOTES SITTING DOWN??
He makes it look like a walk in the park!

To me, he's so great because he does NOT take himself seriously.....he was goofing around in the middle of the song
